about consoles and PCs...
a friend of mine won't understand that PCs are more powerful than consoles (high end PCs at least), and that the best looking games are all on consoles... (his example being the trailer of the last grand tourismo on PS3 which is suposedly absolutely beautiful and movie like)
this question is mostly intended at jyuu, but what do you think about it ? are the PCs less powerful overall for games ..?? (taking into account that the PCs are not especially designed for games hardware and software wise)
i need precise info and serious links ;p
(not that he will change his mind anyway, but at least i'll have arguments )

Why mention Crysis?
Oblivion is enough.
2560x1600 at 2xAA on a PC running smoothly or laggy performance on a console at 1280x720 no AA?
Ah and compare the PRE-RENDERED GT5 trailer vs the REAL TIME DEMO of Crysis shown at CES or the demo of Alan Wake running on a QX6700 at IDF.

speaking of AA, he kept saying PC games have a lot of aliasing (plus the images are poorer lol), and wouldn't believe the contrary....
please tell me more about crysis (i'm sure you post a screenshot in a thread long ago), is it the current (next) best looking game overall ???
if it has consoles ports, are they uglier on consoles ?
You notice more aliasing on PC games because the image is MUCH sharper on a monitor than on a TV.
Jyuu do you have a link to Alan Wake running full power? youve bought it up before and i was just wondering about it.
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.

true, but let's say that we play on the same high def screen, be it with the PC or the console then
in fact i'm more interested in the raw power of the 2 rather than on their display, but it is true that sharpness in the rendered image is important for the player's eyes
nice video btw
