English translation trends
I was wondering, there are three main countries that speak english. The US, Britain, and Austrailia. while there are dialect, manner of speech, adn some other differences, are there any real differences in translations? I have never really played a Aus or a Euro game before, so I dont really know, but there cant be that much of a difference can their?
But Japanese to any other form, and think we all know quite a bit on that. But Its better than what i was in the past right? ... I think.

There is no difference really. Accent doesn't account for anything past how you say things, not how you read them. Of course some games try to put across an accent in the way things are written but in terms of translation it's all the same. I think one of the main differences is how things are spelt, color to colour and so on.
I can't say for certain about AUS, but I'd imagine it's the same. I can't see it as a reason why AU gamers get stuff so late.
as for translations from JP > other it certainly is a lot better, most translations in the old days were simi-direct, even FFVII had some translation errors. But today it's all a lot more taken care off (much like VA in the US too)
