I've beaten the game, and it was overall fun. The end was a bit of a grind for me, as that's when I chose to level up everyone and get a whole lot stronger. And the last dungeon was long as hell, I needed a surefire way of winning it without having to die and start al of that over (I'd have quit if this happened). So it was a good game up till the end, for me anyway. But the graphics were great the whole way there.

It took me over 40 hours to beat, something like 43-45, but I powerleveled for several hours. And what I did for many of the dungeons was to go through them, get all the chests, teleport back to world map, save, then go through them real fast again and beat the boss at the end. I certainly took my time, I hear other people beat it at 25 or so hours.

I had the same exact setup, only Arc was the summoner, and Refia was a devout. The black belt is great though, because as your job level increases, you do more damage unarmed. My black belt at job level 90 has 350 attack unarmed. Only problem is that you can't get such great armor on them until you find more ribbons or something.

You know that while it says you did 9999 damage, you can actually do much more? You can check your max damage and the bestiary at the inn in gysahl.

oh thats cool , i got my blackbelt equipped with two claws (Hellish Claws/Dark Claws)right now, attack in the 220s... i need a good spellcaster who dabbles in both white and black magic and can handle summons well, i heard summoners were the most powerful of the mages and sages were like jacks of all trades... i wonder when you get the lvl 8 magic spells.

You come accross level 8 spells later on in the game, but the funny thing is, I never found a single level 7 white magic spell. I don't even know what they're supposed to be. I dunno about black magic though, I never actually used a black mage past the beginning of the game, because I replaced him with an evoker then a summoner. Btw, there are some secret summons you can get for your summoner once you've gotten the new ship. At the same time, the castle past the ancient maze where you got the 4th crystal has a place called Eureka in it, and that's where you can find some great stuff, and vendors who sell higher level magic. But higher level magic can be found in other places too, like Doga's Village. Forgot where that was though, but it's a place with a whole bunch of mages who sell you spells.

I used the same weapons for my black belt when his job level wasn't high enough to give him more attack. The black belt is the most damaging class, even stronger than the Onion Knight (which is only good if you level it up completely). I use boost twice, then hit a boss for like 20000 damage (it only says 9999 though). Very effective, and the Ninja is good because he gets Shurikens which are great for throwing at bosses. They can be found in Eureka too, there's a guy who sells them there, but he's sorta hidden.

Oh, lol, I didn't even notice. I think I only ever checked those vendors once, but I did buy some equipment from there.
