Default Can anyone help me make my computer temporarily crappier? =p

Ok, this is both a technical question, and a game question, but, as it is solely about a game, I feel it should go here.

I loved Baldur's Gate. Great game. However, not that I try it again, 8 years later on a better computer, everything runs too fast. Everything moves at super speed because of the newer parts in the computer.

Is there anything I can run it through, like an emulator, or such, to slow it down?

    Sorry, I can't.
I, eh, like to cannibalize parts every now and then, and then sell the old ones. I no longer have a crappy old comp to use...

Edit: After checking what a "virtual machine" is, I think you meant something entirely different from what I originally inferred. Hmmm, my bad.

I played BG 1 and 2 in my computer a couple months ago, I won't bother with specs, but it's about Oblivion's reccomended settings(though the Video card is quite old). I vaguely remember reading about someone having the same problem as you a few years ago, try checking the official forums or the site Sorcerer's Place for a fix or patch. Also, did you run BG with Tales of the Sword Coast, BG alone, or the super-3 disc relaunch version?

Did you try to go to the forums for Baulder's gate?

    If not go here http://forums.bioware.com/viewtopic....&forum=11&sp=0

One of them may have a better solution. Then slowing your computer down.

Don't listen to these guys. There are a few programs made exactly for this situation, I use the one called "Turbo" to play old games every now and then.
