Thread: Sonic the Hedehog and old Sega Systems

I was reading a site and it talked about the sonic Sat. morning cartoon coming out on DVD and I start to feel nastalgic about the old Sega games and how I used to play them nonstop. I was wornding if there were any old sonic fans here or people you use to own old sega systems

I remember sonic the hedgehog. I also still remember the stage select cheat.

I've still got a working Sega Genesis and Dreamcast that I like to play every now and then. I bought those about a year after they came out, and while GameStop still had used Genesis and Dreamcast units for sale I bought one of each to keep as backups. Only Sega product I never bought was the Saturn.

I remember when Dreamcast first came out...and my friends and I were all crazy about that one game where you control toys and attack other toys using pencil crayons, staples, and whatnots.

And, of course, the original handheld Sega (with Sonic!).

Ahhhh the good old days =')

Yeah, I was a huge sonic fan. I used to play about 40+ hours of sonic games (1,2,3 & knuckles) a week and if I wasn't playing the game I was watching the cartoon or reading the comics (still got all the issues from #25-67+specials). I even got some roms I play every now and then. Good times.

Yeah I was a giant sonic freak as a kid, along with my brother. We woke up every weekday morning for that stupid wacky sonic show (that kinda sucked but was basically your average 90's cartoon as it is) and I died a thousand deaths when I missed the saturday morning sonic show, "the good one", as we called it.

And yeah, played the games over and over. We'd take a day just to do a quick replay of the entire thing.

Yeah, we were crazy.

Oh and Sonic 1 music always made me sad somehow, just depressed. It had this really faraway somber feel to it.

i remeber playing sonic. i never was able to play the original but i had sonic cd and played the one for dreamcast.

i remember playing sonic on my megadrive it was so ...

just because of reading this i'm gonna go to the attic and unpack and vacume my megadrive .

hmmm never had a sega genisis to play the sonic games...I could only play them on my friends genisis...and still i didnt get enough sonic..but not the games have lost there old flare.

I was really good at Sonic but i'll still play them. I always rush the level and get hit by some sort of creature or object lol. i also used to watch the cartton "Sonic X" it was so kooooool!
