Thread: sony grrrr

I really don't care whether I play it on Console or on PC, as long as I can play the games I want (ZELDA, MGS, SUPER MARIO, etc) within reasonable amount of money and waiting time,
after seeing the price of PS3 console and games, I might wait for the emulator and get me a gamer PC,
and unless you can replicate the Wii controller so it can be used on PC, you can't play the wii emulated games.
So I might get me a Wii, while waiting for the PS3 emulator to come out, hopefully sooner than usual.

but in price comparison of PS3 with Wii, PS3 might lose on the first round.

wtf ps3 will come in two versions in europe one 500 euro and the other 600 now get this the 500 euro version doesn't have a HDMI output .
i mean wtf is this people who have a huge ass plasma screen for gods sake buy the 600 euro version cause the 500 just plain sucks !!

It's been common knowlegde for a while that 2 versions of the PS3 were coming out, the cheaper one and the more expensive one.

yea just like the xbox 360 but i'm still not getting either of those cuz wii the only thing in my price range.

Oh yeah, I would have to agree. I play most of my games at 1600x1200, and when you go to the TV, it just isn't as good. Especially when you have the screen right in front of your face.

that's true but trust me you combine two plasmas and play FFXIII then you see that the ps3 will rule all.

Hell yeah, because everyone can afford a Plasma/HD-Tv plus a PS3.

And again, why would I want to play the low-res 720p FFXIII on two displays? That would look really bad.

PS3 games will be at 720p. -_- The PS3's GPU isn't powerful enough to render a game at 1080p. Why? It's only a 7900GT with 256MB of GDDR3 of VRAM. High resolution textures require 512MB of VRAM and a way faster core. The reason why Gran Turismo HD is in 1080p is that it is just GT4 with 1024x1024 texture palettes and a higher poly-count.

Do you know what can render 60fps at 1920x1080? Two 1900XTs in Crossfire or two 7900GTX in SLI.

Do you know how powerful a single 1900XT/7900GTX is compared to the PS3's RSX? 1.25x faster.

Oh yeah, single HDMI too.
