Thread: Would you buy PS3?

Ok, so despite the PS3 being reallly expensive, it does have its benefits. To me though, it's still just another game console...i already ahve the PS2, why get a PS3? I ould never use the extra feature, anyways..

why get a ps3 when you have ps2 is a moot argument imo. best example would be why get a ps2 when you have a ps1? because games are going to be made for the ps2 and will look prettier. the same goes for this gen-next gen.

for me, ill get a ps3, but not during the launch, or anytime soon after that. there are still games being made for the ps2 that id want to finish before the hop to next gen. also, i might just get lucky if the price drops when im ready to buy it..

Eh, maybe once it's really cheap and has some really good games.

One of the major points being debated right now is the introduction of a new media storage format called the "blue disk" or something like that. This new disk uses a blue laser to read the disk, as opposed to a red laser that our current DVD format uses, and can be focused on a smaller area, hence increasing the storage space on the disk.

The PS3 will be using this format, as will most HD media files from now on (assuming it wins the next format war, which i haven't read up on, but the competitor inolves a similar technology but is not compatable) so the argument of buying a ps3 could be related to asking the question "should i buy a dvd player when i already have a VHS machine?"

i definitely will buy a ps3...

but i'll wait for the later production cause sometimes, the intial productions of gadgets, like consoles, are still to be perfected even it is already released in the market. cause they still have to learn the actual performance of the unit once the buyers used it.. so there are still room for adjustments on the next production...

with this... i am guaranteed a better unit (though still not a hundred percent but a better one) with less the price...

why buy ps3 when you have ps2? r u serial?

of course I'm gonna buy ps3, becuase it is not about the game will look pretier or not, it is about whether they want to make the game (next sequel) you reallly want to play in old console or in the new console.

the real question is why do they need to build such an advanced console every 4 or 5 years? well isn't it obvious? to suck your money that you've collected in those 4/5 years

but as for Wii it is a different thing, it is totally different with other console in terms of how you play it (game play) and Zelda hehe.

It's called the Blu-Ray, its competitor from Microsoft is HD DVD. Personally, I don't really give about both formats. DVDs worked fine for me. I don't really care about your ridiculously expensive players (this is directed at you, Sony!) for a marginal increase in image quality that I suck too much to notice. I want to play games.

... Despite me railing about how expensive it is, and how not worth it, and how stupid this format war is, I'll probably end up with a PS3 some time, knowing myself.

And also, I wonder why I have a Gamecube and a PS2 if I already have a SNES. Omg. They're all just game consoles, after all.

For me it depends on how much money I have after Summer is over
last year I probably mde over at least $1000 (something that even I don't believe.) the reason why I can't be sure of that (eventhough I know I made a lot of money last year) is because I have no recollection of how much money I spent on the things I bought.

games could be 60-99.99 bucks so lets see im 19 now.....by the time ps3 games will be $20.....ill b a grey haired grandpa

the only reason i will get a ps3 in like 2008 or 9 is for mgs4 i love thhe series im so pissed that they took out force feedback like so pissed i almost dont want to give up any money for it but i will eventually but im going to settle for an xbox 360 later this year.

A console that costs $599 and games that could possibly cost over $60... let me guess... FUCK NO!

I could just buy both Xbox360 and Wii with that amount of money.
