I heard that Super Mario Galaxy won't be a launch title. I was majorly disappointed by that. I had originally thought that the three of them(Metroid, Zelda and Mario) would have been launch titles. That would have been amazing. 2 out of 3 isn't so bad, I guess.
3rd party support for all 3 systems can be best described as "Meh"
I think everyone is waiting for the release of all 3 consoles and then they'll whore themselves out to the number 1
SMG not being a launch-title is indeed a bit sad. Still, MP3 and ZeldaTP are great too.
I think the only suitable substitute for it would be SSBB but that's not a launch title either. :\
Well, yeah, it really needs SSBB and/or SMG to have a killer line-up, but I'm pleased with the current one. As long as they release them soon after. And provide some free Virtual Console downloads.
Yeah. That'd be a huge boon. Especially since that all Virtual console stuff will be available at launch.
You know what would be awesome? If they released wireless versions of all the consoles the games were made for. Wireless NES controller... *drool*
I hope that the prices of old games will be decently priced. I would love to buy the old classics from the NES for a dollar a piece. Or maybe even 2 dollars.
I suppose it doesn't really matter that they aren't launch titles. Both games have been slated to release within 6 months of the consoles release so the wait isn't so bad. I might not even get to buy the console during launch anyhow because of fundage. T_T
I think the price point for the Wii is $200. At least that's what most analysts are saying... Although the GC and N64 made their debut at $150... so I wouldn't completely discount that chance that the Wii would be at $150.
I'm not too sure about the price going down after just 6 months though... Maybe if the Wii does really really bad will it go down in that amount of time.
The Wii's downfall will be third party games.
Or lack thereof.
For some reason, Miyamoto thinks people won't get tired of Mario Party 93.
I wouldn't count that yet though. The PS3 has said some pretty scathing things about their own developers. Besides, the games for the PS3 and xbox360 are leaning towards the expensive side. So maybe if there is enough incentive, developers will create stuff for the Wii instead. I've also heard that it's very hard to program for the PS3. Then again, that hardly matters if there's a huge demand for PS3 games.
I don't actually have a list of third party developers but from the news I've been reading on 1up, a lot of developers haven't pledged their allegiance to any one console yet.
I'd like to be proven wrong though.
