And yeah, i also dont play WoW becuase of the cost. Especially when there are a ton of free MMORPG's out in the world anyway.

Oh and anyway, anyone play Silk Road? THis guy said it was like a beter graphics version of WoW and pretty fun too, but I want someone else to verify this before I spend a gazillion hours downloading it from bittorent.
That's perfectly fine if they spend their money on other things. They just shouldn't bitch about how they can't pay the steep, steep price of WoW because they're wasting their money on chocolate bars & cans of pepsi.

There are many other free MMORPG's around, but, answer me this. How many of those free MMORPG's are better than WoW? Not many.

I don't see why people compare Guild Wars and WoW so much. They're not really the same game at all.

WoW is definitly the best MMO on the market. It's just... better, than every other MMO I've played. And I've played quite a few.

That being said, I realized after playing WoW that I'm not a big fan of MMO's in general. I just don't have the devotion to sink hours and hours into one game. Not to say that I don't game a lot, but I've found I get better return on other games.

Some advice to would-be WoWers, though: unless you like ganking lowbies, do yourself a favor and join a PvE (no world PvP) server. I played PvP server, thinking it would be cool to experience the conflict of horde vs alliance, etc. And there were a few (very few) instances of me really enjoying it; running into people your level in the same area, battling it out, sometimes winning, sometimes losing. That was pretty fun. But the majority of world PvP you get on a PvP server is just getting ganked (killed) by players much higher level than you. It's retarded. So yeah, I'd say, go PvE.
I told him once or twice; to stop playin' cards, and shootin' dice.... he's in the jailhouse now

WoW didn't get fun for me until 60, but once you join a major guild for raiding and other stuff like that, you won't have enough time to manage unless you spend a large amount of time playing every day, something like 4-5 hours. I recommend that if you start playing WoW then you better get ready to spend a lot of time on it.

Oh and GamingGodP, yes I do have a job and I have more than enough cash to pay for WoW, even though I do not buy chocolate bars and pepsi (I haven't eaten junk food in more than four months) there are some people out there who aren't as fortunate as we are and still want to game.

I'm a Guild Wars player. I don't like many aspects of MMOs -- for example, the ridiculous amount of time you're expected to invest in it, the way that the more time you spent on the damn game dictates how "pro" you are, the way how a lot of MMOs seem to revolve around just pointing and clicking -- I hate all that. So to tell you the truth, I like the level cap being low, and that you can reach it in a week of casual playing. The battle system is, well, mediocre, but it's fun to get together with people and think up a team strategy. And I like beating people without having to spend xyz hours fighting monsters and levelling up. To tell you the truth, I find it difficult to really classify GW as a MMO... I think it's fit better under the title "online ARPG" than an MMO. Much less focusing on leveling up.

WoW and GW are completely different, so you can't really compare them.

And I don't play WoW because I'm a horrible cheapass.

Silkroad is just as fun, cept the servers are usually full. I think people compare GW and WoW mainly b/c theyre one of the 2 biggest MMOs right now
I think EVE is better then WoW and GW,from what I'm hearing

    EVE is worse than crap.
Guild Wars isn't an MMORPG. It's just DIABLO with more people.
WoW is 51% of the MMORPG market share, Lineage 1 and 2 are 17% (together), the Everquest games share 5% between them and the rest (CoH, CoV, D&D Online, Auto Assault, etc are 1% or less.
