    1. If by hotspots you mean wireless hotspots, then yes, why wouldn't it.
    2. If you cancel your content ID, you have 3 months to reactivate it before your character is deleted, after that I'm not sure if you can re-enter the content ID or if you have to buy a new one.

If you are thinking about getting it, don't. I bought it and its not that great, the camera, the controls and the interface suck ass. I have never played a game that was so obviously a console to PC port.
It starts off very slowly and is extremely hard to learn, the game is based on gaining levels, at the beginning all you do is spend hours fighting weak monsters and trying to gain levels. There is very litle to do early in the game.
The majority of people playing it these days are japanese and the translator isn't as good as it was hyped up to be.
Graphically, its quite good, considering how old it is, the models are low poly, but the textures are surprisingly good. The special effects however are slightly above mediocre compared to what you see today, but what do you expect from a game that runs on DirectX 8.

I canceled my content ID even before the trial period ran out, I'm not saying its a bad game, but compared to whats out there these days, there dosen't seem much point to paying for an outdated game. My advice is get Guildwars, and if you are willing to pay monthly for an MMORPG, get World of Warcraft..............and still get guildwars as well.

By the way, in future don't double post, you could've just edited your first post.

FF11 is almost just like WoW...except I found WoW to be more fun at lower levels. FF11 has nothing to offer to the lowbies besides some great graphics.
