Thread: GC games

Well I just purchased a Gamecube in order to play some of the classiscs. Tales of Symphonia, and RE4 are what I bought the system for. But are there any other decen games for the GC?
I am getting all of the SSBM and Double Dash, It looks like ill have to get a Freeloader for Naruto: Ninja Battle 4, so include imports if you know any.

Is that naruto game really worth 80 bucks?

I liked Zelda: Wind Waker myself. You could probably pick it up on the cheap now. Also Metroid Prime 1 & 2.

You bought the GC now? pffft! Gamecube is worthless now, oh just wait until Wii come out, you'll regret it.
Sell/Refund your GC right now and just rent the GC, Don't buy Gamecube! seriously!
Wii has backwards compatible to play old nintendo games (N64, GC etc)

Zelda classics Collection from N64 to nintendo,
don't get zelda wind waker it sucks, wait for Wii and play the backwards compatible version.
super mario party 7, I like this, but only if you have many friends to play with
MGS twin snake, if you haven't played MGS in PS1
and if you have extra money get donkey kong bonga.

Check out Wind Waker and the Metroid Prime games. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is also pretty damn good if you haven't played the original. Skies of Arcadia is apparently a nice RPG, although I haven't played it yet myself.

If you have a lot of time, Animal Crossing. It's not an action-oriented game at all, but it's terribly addictive and really fun. ^_^

The second Paper Mario game is a great RPG, but it makes a lot more sense if you've played the first one (for N64). Nevertheless quite fun.

oh yes Paper Mariooo is funnnn, I forgot that one, and animal crossing is too cute they are for girls.

Don't know why you bought the GC even at $80 with the wii coming out but meh your call and i'll give my tips here.

Despite what seems to be popular here Zelda: WindWaker is NOT that good. Actually in comparison to previous games its pretty dodgy and looks waaaayy to comiccy and childish like its from a cartoon for 7 yr olds. Why can't nintendo just stick to the good old formula thats worked wonders and saw it rise to the number 1 nintendo franchise over mario which is at number 4. I mean wth is there mario party 7 ffs. You'd think nintendo would get the point that noone likes it outside japan and even then...

The second metroid game for the GC metroid fusion i think it's called is awesome and is the game that has probably the BEST GRAPHICS of any GC, PS2 or Xbox game. Also get the first metroid game and the Solid Snake games.

If you're a fan of the series fire emblem is also good, tales of symphonia is there as well.

Also a must is Super smash bro's melee which is probably the number one game for the GC. Its awesome and is the best multiplayer game and just rocks. Its the only multiplayer game you'll need.

Also the GC has the best racing games so yeah get a racing game of your type unincluding the shithouse mario kart double dash which is simply crap.

Also, the cel-shaded style for WW is one of the factors why it's a very good game. It's a very artistic game, albeit a bit short and possibly too easy for long-time Zelda fans. Storyline wise, I liked it far better than OoT. It fits more with Majora's Mask. Great game, IMO.

The person already said they were getting SSBM. Also, Mario Kart is a good racing game. Have you played it? I don't know; no one who has ever has said it's crap. Not Double-Dash OR any of the previous games.

I've owned the mario karts for the snes, n64 and played double dash for quite a bit. When on the topic of nintendo me and the group of friends eventually had to discuss mario karts and games that would be released for the wii. None of us liked double dash for the reason that the focus is less on the skill of the driver and racing and that weapons now become a higher priority than was previously seen in the other 2 games. The snes required extreme skill in racing terms as it was incredibly fast-paced while the n64 version which i still play today has a good balance. Weapons now have too much of an influence and the partner thing is a bit dodgy but hey i can forgive that part since its the first time they tested it out.
