Yeah and it's why PC gaming is slowly dying.

Rising development cost and money lost to pirates is strangling the industry, and since I wan't to enter into this industry, I greatly dislike game pirates.
However I have nothing against people downloading old roms and out of print games.

i download the recent games <.<
however i agree with you abaile, but i dont/cant rent PC games
so what i do is i try it for a little while. if i like it, i buy it. if i dont, i delete it.
like Oblivion for example. once i upgrade my computer (when HS is over for the year) i will buy the collector's editon.
or Republic commando. im buying it after.
or pariah. im also buying it after.
or Galactic Civilizations 2. i love this company so i KNOW im getting it.
i got war of the ring...but i dont like it. so you know what that means *delete*
thats about it. i downloaded morrowind, but i liked it and then went and bought the PC GOTY edition the next day.
thats about it. all other games ive had bought for me, or ive bought myself that ive never downloaded.
Like FEAR, like UT2004, like NWN, like Warcraft III and its expansion, like galactic civilizations, like B&W, like UT. need i go on?
there also is some games i would like to download, but its too much trouble to get caught.
Like Battlefield 1942 or Battlefield 2, or COD, etc.
i never downloaded them, and i will wait for the price to go down before i do, but i will buy it nonetheless.

personally, if you buy the game before it becomes abandonware, i see no problem.
what is the trying gonna cost them before you buy it? $5 a game like a rental?
thats what? $100mil a year projected loss that would otherwise go to pay for their Benz? no thanks man.

but to digress, if you like the game, buy it. if not, its their fault they made a shitty game.

    Ew, Pariah?
Probably one of the worst games ever created.

Ive always prefered Quake series over Unreal.. Single player mode is better however the multiplayer part are kinda the same thing for both UT and Quake rofls........................

Anyway... No I don't like Unreal

I hardly ever buy a game if it's over 10 nowadays.

    a game for $20?
im sorry, but if ive seen stuff on the game and i like what i've seen, id jump on that.
like a xbox dual disc that had SegaGT 2002 and Jet Set Radio Future i got for $9. i picked that up the second i saw it because JSRF is amazing. SGT2002 isnt bad either. anyways, i meant that most people love unreal just for the name. personally, i started playing quake 3 before the original unreal tournament, but i just prefer unreal, better graphics, same storyline, more people to play with around where i live.
so unreal is what i stuck with
