DMC3- After Samsara, Hourglass Section

i am currently playing the game in Dante Must Die difficulty and have cleared most of the stages. unfortunately i am now stuck in a later stage. i refering to of course the multi part stage where one must traverse various rooms through the amulet shaped portals eventually ending up in a room with a giant, twirling hourglass in the middle. one must defeat all the enemies before the sand in the hourglass runs out, otherwise, the whole room is reset and one has to re-deafeat the enemies.

in easier difficulties, that is, all the other ones, this is a feat easily accomplished. but, in Dante Must Die difficulty it's a nightmare. i cant find a way to kill them all. ive even tried quiksilver, devil trigger and a bunch of devil stars but i cant make it work. im completely lost, i have no idea how to kill them all and finish the stage. i would really appreciate suggestions, coming mostly of course from people who have completed the game in the highest of difficulties. i really do want super dante.

But you got that far on DMD and that part is giving you the most trouble
and on top of that you have to fight cheap ass Vergil at the end tough luck.

If you want to unlock Super Dante their's an easier (cheating) way to do it.

Thats the difference. I for one would never ever cheat to earn something especially in a game this good. It's demoralising and there is no honour/satisfaction in earning or finishing it and when you cheat you know you suck so bad that you ahve to cheat.

Shinjitsu try using swordmaster with the gauntlets/beowolf at that area and do not worry about taking damage since i assume you just want to finish the mission and not get an SS or S ranking. Beowolf is the weapon that can do the quickest amount of damage in the shortest amount of time at the expense of defence.

thanks chimpion and mmy point exactly. although i have no desire for a perfect ranking i still wish tofinish the game of my own accord without resorting to cheats. i left those behind years and years ago. now the problem would be to learn how to use beowulf, i never did get into using the gauntlets in either this one or the wonderful DMC. did you finish the game chimpion?

That's some crazy logic besides if cheating is wrong (in some cases which it isn't) I don't wanna be right. Besides cheating is logical in some cases I mean say I'm playing Grand Theft Auto and say I want the Rhino tank, there's two ways I can get it.

1. The hardest & most annoying way is to get a six-star wanted and survive the police, the FBI, & finally the army.

2. The easiest & cheapest way is to input a very long and complicated series of button presses on the controller.

Hmmm which one do I pick?

And with that here's an example of where cheating is bad.

A guy challenging you to a game of pokemon, you accepting , you playing him then you finding out at the last minute that the guy's pokemon are Lv.100 and over then you watching on as the guy proceeds to wipe out all your pokemon.

yes, that place is a complete mess. my advice to you is bewolf. just like chimpion said, it's the most powerful weapon in the game. try doing R1+back+O with it...yeah, i haven't played in a while so the names are off my mind. dance macabre was it? try that one too...with the sword...bah.

i know the beowolf gauntlets are powerful, but theyre so slow i only get through a couple enemies. i cant even clear the whole 1st wave of them! are there guides for this difficulty somewhere online?

you could try Gamefaqs,Gamespot, or The Hand vs Eye (they don't really give you guides but they show you how they get through some tough parts of the game.)
