Nintendo's Info E3 2006
uhh i waited for a nintendo thread and here it is ill leave microsoft to others
i was skeptical of the wii controller but now that i have seen some of the functions, and heard where they want to take the games, i actually want one (not at launch....cheaper 360 here i come).
the press con. was amazing even though lazy people will bitch, i think its a wonderful idea that they are trying to get gamers more into the games.
the tennis game showed off the awsome feedback, fuctionality, and sound from the mic in the controller.
in gamespot's interview with dbz game developers they mentioned the way u perfom the supers. to perform a kamehameha u have to pull the controller back and push forward, then with a spirit bomb raise ur hands.....AWSOME!!!!
im still watching the vids, and any other info can be discussed here
The controller is an awesome idea, the box looks stylish......................its just the name....................Wii?!
well they they made a good point on gamespot look at other names dreamcast, playstation, XBOX!!!!!
its not the names its the games and the functions.....but when u ask for a wii that will b a little dumb
Apparently using it to aim in Zelda was a bit uncomfortable, but apart from that (which can be fixed anyway) it still seems awesome.
I was Nintendo fans but not anymore, why?
after the failures with mario sunshine & legend of zelda: the wind waker,
they tried to make up for it by announcing the next zelda: twilight princess and the supermario 128 on GC, but as we can see, both haven't come out.
I think Supermario 128 will never come out on GC as we all know that Wii is coming out, it is just another nintendo unfulfilled promise, just like they did with N64, they promised a new zelda game on N64 after ocarina of time, a lot of screen shots and movies about this new zelda came out on internet (ign.com), now that i think about it, it looked a lot like RAW/blueprint of twilight princess, but then after a while they reannouced again, that the new zelda wouldn't come out for N64, WTF!
I waited for so long and what happened?
It was going to be for the new console, nintendo dolphin (which is GC now), again it never came out, instead Majora's mask came out, which is not the new zelda (it is just a sequel to the ocarina of time) and wind waker came out in GC ( which is completely different than the screen shots and movies that were on the internet, the ign.com, for some time) , and also it was a failure, a mockery to other major ZELDA titles.
I couldn't imagine they need, what? 10 years to develop twilight princess!! (N64 was there around 1996, and the zelda:TP for Wii it's going to be released in 2007, that if they don't delayed it nomore)
the way they're delaying the twilight princess is obviously another scheme to get people still interested with GC, while they are preparing the new console(Wii), they don't care anymore about gamecube players/customers, all they care about is the new console, Gamecube is basically dead, the only game that gamecube owners are waiting for so long before they trash or burn their GC, is only twilight princess, which is abviously pointless, since all the features and graphics will be maximized in the new console (Wii).
Right now, the only thing that make me play nintendo console is that I'm a ZELDA freak that's all.
well all this comments might be bias since I am a ZELDA freak, but if you guys follow nintendo's news on their MVG(Most Valuable Games) you know what I mean.
also I feel so stupid for buying the RE4 on GC, which later on is improved much better on PS2.
Point is they make too much promises, which they can't keep, why don't nintendo just be honest! that they need more time, money, etc.... hahah
also they take too much time developing games.
let's see if this new console (Wii) might pull it off, the new console Wii looks interesting, but I don't like the cables dangling on the controllers, I mean when you tilt and move around the controllers, the cable obviously in the way!
but how come there is no cable when SM payed it?
btw I was wondering if they are going to release a limited edtion of Wii, remember those panasonic Q gamecube that can play DVD? I had it, but then I sold it and get ps2 and normal GC, it was so expensive about $400

Nintendo don't care about the players? Whoop-de doo. What a surprise.
They're a buisiness afterall.

Flash, I think you're a bit overreacting. Twilight Princess IS coming out this year. It's a launch title for the Wii, and there'll be a Gamecube version alongside it for those who don't want to purchase the wii. If that aint caring about your customers, what is? I doubt you'd see many companies decide to release the game on both current and next-gen consoles.
It's a fact that Super Mario 128 isn't coming out on the Gamecube. Would you seriously consider making games for a console that's been out nearly 5 years now, and your new console is around the corner. The Super Mario Galaxy game is going to be on the Wii.
But seriously, I think you're just acting up and bashing nintendo just because you didn't get a few Zelda games. Big woop. Zelda aint everything.
But seriously, this E3, Nintendo has pwned. They have a ton of stuff about the Wii and the DS. Oh, and your concern about the wires with the controllers... EH? The controllers are wireless. The only wire I can think of would be between the Remote and the nunchuck attachment, and I really can't see that getting in the way.
I've been heading over to Ign in all my spare time basically the past few days checking on the wii stuff. There is ups and downs on some games, but if the companies look into these things the wii is definately going to be a big hit.
Oh, and for those who don't like the name Wii. You're just being childish. Revolution was never going to be the name. What comes after the revolution? What kind've logo can you come up for with the name 'Revolution'? And NR is such a bad acronym as well :S compared to GCN/NGC, SNES, N64,NES, etc. I'm not saying it's the best name in the world, but I'm just saying deal with it. Xbox and Playstation aren't exactly original. Sega had the best names for consoles though, every time (Apart from maybe the Master System).
