Thread: Wanna play on my Wii

Gamecube was always a children console. With the account of a few games like resident evil. But none the less kids system. Now it seems they're trying to make it more on the adult side on the downlow. First the controler now, Wii. Yea somethings going on.

i liked the Revolution name better but when it comes to a logo i can see why they shortened it. so it makes sense and it sounds cute.

also, concerning what it sounds like, as far as i know from this article it is its international name no ? so it's bind to sound weird in some languages ^^

Is the games of the new nintendo as good as a plasystaion 2 or xbox? or is it better?

Cuz xbox 360 is now the best here in sweden.(PS3 will come out the 3 sep in sweden)

Well, at least we can now break that label of Nintendo being for kids. After all, they encourage the use of weed! I mean, because someone had to be smoking something to come up with, Wii.

ok let me break this down....

the gamecube is a current generation system along with ps2 and xbox.... all 3 are graphically similar

wii is going to eb a next gen system with ps3 and xbox 360.... so I assume by your post by are the games as good as... your refering to graphics, atleast that's what it seems to be...

ps3 willd estroy xbox360 in graphics... both ps3 and xbobx360 will ahve noticeably better graphics than the the Wii though....

the trade off is that the Wii will be quite a bit cheaper (like about half the price) and offer a new type of controller....

so in essence if the ps3 and xbox make the wii look graphically inferior by comaprison...

the wii is likely to mek the xbox360 and ps3 both look down right archaic in controlls

that is the difference between this current gen and the next... the next gen stuff splits.. ps3 and xbox are going for better graphcis and hd (on both accounts ps3 dominates), and nintendo is going for a new type of cotnroller that senses movement and 3d space possitioning.... in otherwords the first TRUE 3d controller which plays on 6axis (x,y,z,tilt,roll,pan) where as an analog stick plays on 2 (x,y)

as for the name itself.. people are flipping out over it, saying idiotic things... some of it is funny (like the phallic logo re-designs), and some of it is downright spitefull and ignorant... full of hate...

in the end it's just a name, I wish they ahd stuck with Revolution, but the name doesn;t matter as much to me... Ic are far more about the games, the controller, the look of the actual system.... the name of the system is close to the bottom of my list of concerns

the thing that most upset me about the name is that when i initiallys aw all the Wii chatter I mistaking read it as "wifi" and was all excited that there was new wifi news... only to be let down by it just being the name "wii"

anyways this is the only board I have read a thread on that didn't turn into pure jr. high crap within the first post

The name is pretty odd, but it's the console that matters.

I'll still probably get it because:
1) The controller will allow for some intresting things
2) The backwards compatability thing
3) The fact that Michel Ancel is making games for it (he'll put thme on other systems, but all of this added together...)
