Thread: What Game Got You Started?

What's the game that made you say "Woooooooowwwwwww . . . . . . Video games are fucking cool!" For me, I can honestly say that it was probably Sonic 2. It was, ironically, the first game I owned, and after that I wasn't necessarily hooked, but I was into games. Now, the game that got me addicted was Final Fantasy VII, hands down. I watched a friend play it, then bout it for the PC like 2 years later, and the rest is history.

I don't remember it's between Sonic, Mario or Contra. One of them. Till then....you know....

I started with the original Tetris game by Alexey Pazhitnov. After sometime, my dad brought Jordan Mechner's Prince of Persia.

Oh shit you went far back and brought out memories I have been forgotten. I actually played games way farthur back then contra and so but the only one I do remember is Tetris. I know theres more but thats to hard to remember.

In 30 years I'll still remember my first games but I think I'll forget my first kiss.
The latter wasn't too bad either.

Wow, I always imagined Jyuu to be a 20 something university student, shows how much I know.

I can't remember my first game (I blame ADHD), but it was either Star Wing, Bomber man, Jurrasic Park (all on the SNES), Batman on the game boy, or some Frankenstein type game on the Amiga.

EDIT: I do know that it was Star Wing that got me totaly hooked though.
