Thread: The Best and worst Game endings

I just remembered...Advent Rising...that was a really crappy game and the ending worse...wheres the fuking sequel. GAH

Terranigma and Final Fantasy 8 have the best endings I've seen.

I can't think of a worst. I know there have been bad ones, but it's not like I wanted to remember them, so they're lost to me now.

Zelda has some of the worst endings, what with no "resolution" or extra scenes usually. The fact that it doesn't create a huge plot with lots of characters might be why (there are exceptions such as OOT + MM, though those weren't spectacular). If anyone's played Bahamut Lagoon that one has a pretty crappy ending too. Star Ocean would be another one.

FF7 had a good ending, FFX was good since Tidus 'died'. Chrono Trigger/Cross had practically all good endings.

Edit: Forgot about Terranigma, great ending.

best ending: knights of the old republic I and II. not because the endings were good but because the ending was based on your actions in the game. i love multiple endings.

FF9's ending was sweet. >_> It was a happy ending. Romantic elements. Funny elements (Vivi XD). Overall, a pleasing ending.
Worst was possibly ToS. I really thought that ending was horrid. It just did the revive tree stuff and then a short bit on Lloyd. No coverage on the rest of the characters...

BEST ENDINGS:
.Devil May Cry: Dante's Awaking!!! ...the ending is one of my favorite endings >_<!!!
.Grand Theeft Auto:San Andreas: the ending is good!!!...i preffer the ending of this game than the ending from GtA Vice City!!.
.God of War: i didn't expect that ending O_O....is so FUCKING ASWOME!!!!! >_<.
.Prince of Persia: Warrior Within: excellent game!!! with an excellent ending!!!
Fatal Frame II and III: this game never disapoint me!!! and the same happends with the endings!!! the're excellent!!!
The Warriors: i saw the movie..and the game is excellent!!! the ending too!!!

WORST ENDINGS:
NARC: i liked the begining the game...the soundtrack...the characters...but the ending is pure SHIT!!!!
AREA 51: at first the game is excellent...but the ending is very disapointing!!!
Enter the Matrix: this game SUCKS!!!!

Apparently Path of Neo's ending is terrible.

I can't really judge it, though - I haven't played it. Enter the Matrix (the buggiest and worst programmed thing it's ever been my misfortune to play) put me off the idea.
