How do you rate games?
For me its the game battle system, char, storyline, and BackGround music....
I really depend on the battle system THAT is the first priority of how i rate games. (some don't like my fav. Harvest Moon^^) I've gotten really board of the games the have the battle system when your walking......then....BOOM!!!!!! Your in this scene and theres a boc, bar, SOMETHING with commands on it and your have to choose one.....now... I'm not saying it's bad just that theres so many games that follow that kind of system. (Horray For Live action Games ^^) IT's just it get annoying after awhile and boring.... If the Systems doen't grip you then its the Charaters yeah......like.....who wants to be this Huge Guy with Bulging muscels or the one with Super Powers and thats it?! Whats with the repeating wepons?! yes i Know swords are cool but can't they make a wepon that's origenal? Now, On to the Storyline.... A bad Storyline Doesn't really mean a Bad game it just cuts down on How better a game could be....I'm not saying that for all games though. ANNNNND the background music Who Want's to listen to some guy sitting at his little keyboard ?! I mean Whats good game if you have to sit though all that while your playing a game?! So....how do YOU grade games? Sorry for the hard time reading this with all the spelling misstakes and all that stuff
your grammer is atrocious and i kinda got lost on what you were saying the first half of your post.
i rate games by thier battle system first then their storyline. i really don't care much character development or background music though they do help a bit in my opinion. and if your talking about the storyline of an rpg then thats kinda stupid cuz the whole point of the game is to save something.
Gameplay. I won't play a game unless it's fun, and well polished. Even though I value storyline very highly, I'm not going to sit through boredom just to find out what happens next.
Why would I want to waste my spare time doing something that I don't enjoy?
I rate it on the amount of annoying fanboys.
Gameplay and story the rest are just add-ons for me.
The game should also have lots of replay value.
Whether I liked it or not. Whether I continued playing non-stop after a number of days. Whether I actually felt inclined to finish the game.
Story is good. Being actually able to get far in the game is good, too. Music is a bonus. And pretty pictures.
Basically, Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda games are examples of Good Games by almost anyone's standards.
For RPG, add story factor, and how well the game could bring me to their world. The atmosphere should be rich.
I think for me the most important things are the Gameplay and Atmosphere -->which includes a good story
For example there is not much diffrence when you look at the gameplay of serious sam and max payne. You just go and kill all the enemys you encounter but i think max payne for example has a nice story and better atmosphere
well...first the Storyline...games MUST contain a great storyline!!!.
when i buy a game i usally check the game developer...for example: i definitely
trust in all "Rockstar games"..they never disapoint me =P.(Big Fan of Rockstar!)
the game must contain lots and lots of Blood...Gore...Fights...some Nudity XD gun fights and lots of Car Chases!!! =P.
in my oppinion the Graphics should be acceptable (i don't crtizice the Graphics too much)..for example the graphics of "Max Payne" are acceptable...and the game stroyline is great!!! ^^
Gameplay. I dunt care about graphics if the game is fun. For instance, take a look at Street Fighter 3, the graphics suck compared to new fighting games like DOA, MK, ...etc. HOWEVER, the game is very fun to play and i never get bored. Its fast-paced, cool moves, cool characters....
