Thread: Full Metal Alchemist 108

Semi-spoilers, so for those that don't want the hype, stop reading. This. Ending. Was. Awesome. It's rare for such a long running series to have a good ending. The only one I can think of at the top of my head is Great Teacher Onizuka. I will definitely look forward to her next work.

the ending was so-so for me. i think the entire series made me have elevated expectations, so i actually came away disappointed that the ending was mindblowingly awesome.

Motherf... he did 108 chapters. I've dreaded this for the last 8 months.
But the ending was worth it. Fullmetal Alchemists has been the best manga I've read since GTO.

My hat is off to one of the best mangas of all time... *Salute to FMA*

I started reading a month ago after 107 came out and this is definitely one of the better series that I've read

ending was legit. the thing that's more impressive in my opinion is that arakawa kept the manga progressing as pretty much one fluid story arc for the whole thing.

Very, very nice way to wrap it up. Sacrificing his Gate to bring Al back seems like a pretty good trade-off as much as not being able to do alchemy is troublesome. Actually I'm still a little iffy about the bad guy being beaten down by brute force on their side but then again I suppose there wasn't any other way. He was actually stronger before taking in 'god', though. oddly.

What's up with Selim btw? Did he actually die, is he that same boy we see later? I kinda like how he's been left open, leaving the possibility of some other story in the future...a one-shot, maybe? That'd be interesting. We can dream.

The ending is kinda so-so... Although I like this ending better than the anime one.
But kinda sad too that one great manga is already over....
Hopefully I'll find other manga worthed to be waited as this one.

I liked how the whole story was continuous, broadened, then wrapped all back up in the end. It was a great ending to an equally great and well-told story.

I´ll be having a good time rereading ^^

And I hope Arakawa´s new work will be as good, if not even better!
