I prefer the manga because its longer than the anime.
the anime is only those 51 episodes, and my curiousity started to wake up properly at the end side, but there, then it ended since the episodes ended.
I prefer Manga because it keeps coming and coming ;)

How about FullMetal Alchemist : Conquer of Shimbala (I don't know the title) it's the next anime next story ?

Conqueror of Shambala is an OVA sequel to the series where ED tries ways to return while trying to stop people trying to enter the alchemy world for power. It:s nice in a way but it was disappointing for me (i'm not going to say why because I might spoil everything for people who haven't watched it yet)
I actually love both of them<3 I watched the anime first, and it's definitely one of my favorites :] The entire anime was amazing [though the ending + movie was a little lacking....] I'm around chapter forty for the manga, and so far, it has been equally good [if not better] (: I'm just hoping that the manga's ending will be a lot better than the anime's XD
I dunno, i really liked the anime, though i felt that the movie didnt really end it well, but the anime itself was good. On the other side however, the manga goes way farther in depth, and i think i like it a lot better
The anime's it's own story, but it's still okay. But I prefer the manga, because it's a more complicated intricate story.
I also prefered the manga for its copmlex, intricate story. The anime is fun in its own way, and I guess it is wrong to compare them. The same way with something like Sensei Negima, I read the manga for the story and watch the anime as a sort of a fun side bonus feature.
I also found the movie left me a little empty. I can see why they did what they did, but it just wasn't my bag.
I like both, although the original is "always better" so I prefer the manga more.
Sometimes when I watched the animé I had to force myself to accept a few things. *shrugs* But they did they best.
I like both, and I really like how they actually went ahead and made a different story, rather than make endless filler arcs (ala naruto + bleach.)
