    Default Anime-related question.

Heya, imma just gonna post dis questionz in dis thread over here, right?
    thank you.

I've been reading the manga since i first saw it, but now i am interested in the anime, since i've heard it got several awards, among other things.
However, i'm up to episode 15, and it's really boring. It's totally different from the manga, and it's all about "equivalent trade" here and there.. "Oooh look at this kitty, we make Mustang take care of it if we beat him.. Now i beat him, yay, but he gave info about marcoh, so now i have to drop kitty off at house, Equivalent trade! 1 in exchange for 1", and all that..
No spectacular fighting, no big nasty monsters and smart thinking yet.. it's just standard shounen stuff..
So my question is: when is it going to get as entertaining as the manga?

I´m just at chapter 15 right now and I must say the manga is great - the pace is far greater as the anime´s (or so it seems, don´t remember that much anymore).
But the anime was cool too.

    I prefer the manga.

    [spoiler!!]
I've watched all the episodes and the "Conqueror of Shambala" OVA. Storyline of the anime was quite good; plot, ironi, and dramatization are all presents (unlike other common anime, which follow the original manga without new feature that surprise the watchers), especially for few last episodes. It is a great job to have its own interesting story before the manga is released (remember that the anime release pace is faster than the manga release pace, overlaping is obvious). The OVA in the other hand, is even better! With bitter end for Ed, Al (they both thrown to the world without alchemy, trying to survive), and Winry (left behind, lone life await her to her long future), the OVA leaves a nice impact to its watchers.

The manga, after the anime are all over, went to a crazy story line. It filled with much more intricate drama, larger cast, and more secrets. With quite amount basic facts which differ with its anime, the manga promise a more satisfying plot. I'm still waiting new chapters released.

    Going thru the manga now

I think I appreciate the manga more, because of the anime.

Can't wait for the new season of FMA. I wonder how they are goign to tie everything up since they went in a different direction from the manga (from what I've heard).

I'm currently into the manga. Like a lot of other people have mentioned, the manga's in-depth plot is REALLY captivating; it's not predictable, nor is it ridiculously far-fetched--it ALL makes sense.

That, and the integrity of the "good guys" makes me smile^^ I love how loyal Mustang's subordinates are to him, and vice versa. One of THE BEST manga I've ever read, hands down!

Oh, and I totally like watching the "slow" version of any anime/manga--I'm watching the Bleach anime instead of reading ahead in the manga, since it prolongs the story. ^^

I read the manga first and then watched the anime. It was kinda like watching a horrorfilm after the manga. The story in the manga is more complex and it's funnier, so I prefer the manga.

    Brotherhood is good too....

But the first anime was maybe the worse I ever saw.

    Manga : *****
    Anime : *
Brotherhood (if it follows manga) : ****
