Thread: Hohenhaim and Father

In the chapter 74 of FMA, the being in the glass was seen conversing with Van Hohenheim. I have come to believe that the being is "Father" considering "Father" is probably the same age as Van Hoehenhaim. But more than that, it was when the being (Father) mentioned that Hohenhaim gave him his blood, his DNA, encription to life. So its as he has been cloned. So that is why Father is so much like Van Hohenhaim, because he shares his blood. Father probably gave Hohenhaim the knowledge of alchemy and the ability to read and write. And about the time he was in his 30's or 40's he probably found the secret to immortality or suh, considering he was able to live for about two or three centuries. Though it wouldn't explain why Pride said he was the "First" Homunculus. So maybe Pride came before Father, or Pride was the first Homunculus created by Father. Very interesting what happened, so you must discuss it.

About what I was thinking, too. A really interesting chapter by the way. The question is (but this might've been proven false elsewhere in the manga, so call me ignorant if it has) if Hohenheim might've been the first Alchemist? Being taught by this "homunculus", which seems to be father and we all know he is somewhat of an alchemist. Homunculus also seems to know obscenely much for just being a little black blob. He obviously hasn't got knowledge from Hohenheims DNA so... I think that would be seriously interesting, but would make it hard to explain how homunculus was first created.

nah he cant be the first alchemist if homunculi are created by alchemists.

Alchemists call themselves scientists right? Homunculus might have been created through other means, like science, (which might explain the difference between it and other homonculi) and then shown the people alchemy as a shortcut as it isn't purely science in the way I see it.

It's no highly probable thing, but I think it is interesting. I mean, just look at how Father has a total control of alchemy. It would also explain why he couldn't do anything about rentanjutsu.

he called himself a homunculi, and homunculi cant perform calchemy. maybe hohenhaim had something to do with it.

i think Pride was the first homunculi created by Father, but then the question is: who created Father? it is obvious that it wasn't Hohenhaim so who was the one who created Father, and why Hohenhaim didn't have a name, was he some kind of experiment or something?
