I wonder if the manga and the anime are the same storyline writer because the two are so much different.
Does anyone know?
If they are the same person, do you know why he/she made them so different?

in the anime Arakawa gave the studio creative freedom, for they to do as they think convenient (of course he was supervising) or so, i read. anyway why don't you check wikipedia?
They always say that the storyline is consulted with original author - but most add-ons, fillers or different paths are most likely thought from some group (and if they catchy enough for director).
There are few things that decides upon anime plot
- How many episodes ? (12,26,52 or daily ?) Fullmetal was 52, not enough to fallow manga plot
- How much money ? No, seriously - quality of the anime depends on it. It isn't really that expensive to make anime in which they talk all the time, some actions scenes can get deleated
- What people want to see ? - while mangaka might not care, producer of anime cares![]()
Is it's ending come from Arakawa too?
I really did hate it so I don't want to see the same ending in manga (I mean.... like the Conquerer of Chambala)
I'm suprised at how little fan service FMA actually had while keeping the quality really high. I highly doubt that the manga will end like the anime did since there hasn't been any explanation as to where the 'energy' comes from during a transmutation and it hasn't been said there's a world beyond the gate. That along with the extreme differences in homunculus make it hard to believe that Ed & Al will be trapped in a parallel world
Back from ban-hood, I blame explosm webcomics
yes, they are the same writer
by the way, i think manga is better than anime
