Thread: Ch. 72

The raw is out, look on mangahelpers for it.

Looked at the raw, can't read a lick of Jap so I'll give what happens in the pics.

Chap starts out with Hawkeye getting back home and she gets a call from Mustang. Then her dog then cheers her up.

Moves to the Elric Brothers talking to Marcoh and Rentao girl for a while.

It then moves onto the Scar fight. The fight runs into the Elric brothers and they get involved. Edward has some improvements to his auto mail. The three dispatch the chimera's and then start fighting eachother, while Winry watches in a doorway. Elric brothers capture Scar and the Ishvalin soldier walks into the room past Winry. He talks with the Elric's about I'm assuming what to do about Scar, and Winry confronts Scar about, again I'm assuming about her parents. The chapter ends with Ed being blown through a wall and Scar holding Winry at the top of the building they were fighting in.

Scanlations out...and it looks like an elaborate plan to me at the end.

The way I see it...Scar didn't just beat the crap out of everyone and kidnap Winry. He was pinned down and injured. I reckon he made some sort of deal with the Elrics and Brigg soldiers since Winry is a hostage of the homunculi, they want her to go off with Scar. A kind of pennance...he has to protect her since the Elrics cannot.

Or Scar could've just whooped ass like he normally does.

they need to upload new chapters more often :/
but yea, one chapter is often ridiculously longer than other manga chapters, so i guess it's the same.

It's published in a monthly magazine(?), so it's kind of hard for the mangaka to release chapters quicker.

Besides that's what makes this manga good. Instead of coming up with something every week, the mangaka has the whole month to draw and think of the story for the next chapter. It also lets the person tweek the drawings and story longer, making it so that there is less of a chance for anything majorly wrong with the plot.

I checked mangaupdates and there was an irc-based group and this group called onupdates (new group?) that did the scanlations. Couldnt manage to get the scans from either site though. Sigh. Thanks for the summary bluejay, although i guess i'll just have to keep waiting for TMI's scans.

why are the scanlations not available here yet if they are out.

... because stoptazmo != scanlation sites. they don't magically grab and host the chapters right after it's been scanlated.

in any case, it's out at zomgfta now.

but omg, looks like a huge plan is in the works. i'm hoping we'll see what the alchemy notes Scar's brothers made are all about. i think that's probably the last piece of the puzzle.

and it looks like Central finally has Scar completely analyzed and outplayed - which can't be good, 'cause Scar always used to be a major pain to them
