*spoiler alert regarding this chapter*
clearly this is all part of a plan so scar can get away
-
not only that, but to let winry escape too, so they lose an important hostage.
wow, central so badly misplayed here - but then again, they had very sparse forces (couple of chimera-soldiers and crimson). if i was in charge of this whole operation and Briggs was the last keypoint, i would've just sent like.. half the army there to ensure success.
-
I wouldnt. It'll be too obvious. I mean, come on, for the other times there was always some reason for them activating the army (Civil War, border conflict et cetera) but Briggs isnt part of that strata. Briggs IS part of the nation and isnt posing a problem - to the nation anyway.
Imo, they should've sent envy over to wreak things up a lil at the other side (the people Briggs were defending against, cant remember the name now) so that they'll have a valid reason to wage war there.
-
that's true; i forgot about the difference between Briggs and the other "key points". i spose if they sent the army against Briggs, the entire country will know what they're up to.
but yah, sending Envy's not a bad idea. maybe Central will actually do it after they hear about their latest failure.

hmmm... I just finished reading this entire manga today. I agree. It seems like a plan to help Winry escape and keep Scar from dying at the hands of Kimbley.
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends
