like echo said, taste is subjective.you don't have to argue over that thing.
and shautieh,I think you need to read the manga.for some reason I dont like the anime at ALL.(and I thought OP was one of your fave)
Ive seen anime episodes and theyre crap (dubbed in english, but what CAN you do?). Read the manga, its way better and who knows, maybe you'll like it enough to watch the anime afterwards HA HA HA.
Ummm I had something to say to Shautieh about emo anime, but it was probably something like all anime is emo if you look at it like :this:
Oh I almost forgot. Can I get a HELLZ YEAH?!
OP is one of my fave manga, but i don't like or watch its anime too much and i was listing the anime i liked ;p

@terasiel : i was speaking of the anime, but i'll read the manga someday (it's the 3rd or 4th time i say it so i better read it later lol)
and emo = too emotional in general, even though it is mainly used for attention whores (who seeks attention because they are too emotional to begin with of course)
Maybe a better way to say what i meant would be to say that some scenes and parts of the scenario were too childish, even though the anime was supposed to be, or at least is advertised by most as being, well thought out and "adult"...
@krytha : HELLZ YEAH !
I hate FMA anime and OP anime.that's it but the manga is the total complete opposite.
FMA anime and manga breaks in the middle. Manga is better cause it takes a different approach toward the story IMHO.
And i shocked a little, Shautieh. Sure Ed and Al have some emo time like when Al thinks that Ed created his memory, when Ed cries for not being able to save Nina ( the girls who being turn into a chimera by his own father ). But IMHO that's what makes them lovely. Strong guys need to shed some tears too sometimes. ^_^. But all person got their own taste anyway ;P

Reason: Added the girl's name >.<
LONG LIVE HIME-SAMA. MY LIFE FOR RUMBLANDIA!
^agreed. besides very few moments, most of the time they act as strong as any other character. reminds me of the very first chapter where the founder was all crying/cringing 'cause a rebound screwed up his arm, and ed's like, "shut up, it's just an arm"
i didn't see much of the anime (maybe around 5 eps) and from what i hear about it, i think i much prefer the manga's storyline.
Theyre TOO emo in the anime. Just right in the manga.
i think it's one of the best anime ever.......
it's really more for grown up actually.....
it give alot of deep message for life....
the same thing like when u read paulo coelho books =)
Every anime is emo if you consider FMA emo with the snippets of emotion it does have. Yes, they're emotional but they shouldn't be branded "emo". Might as well call all the "I'M GOING TO PROTECT MY NAKAMA!" yelling and screaming from Luffy emo, or the Naruto Nin-do, etc etc.
well OVERALL i thought it was an excellent anime/manga.
The great thing about FMA is that it's actually deeper in meaning than most other manga, meaning that FMA actually explores the flaws in society and moral boundaries, instead of charading silly characters like other manga/anime do.
I like the depth of meaning in the FMA. Only when it has some real meaning does a manga become great.
