Thread: Kimbley and...Alchemist sacrifices

By now, everyone must realize that alchemists are constantly being referred to as sacrifices and thus why Scar is a problem, since he kills sacrifices.

What's peaked my interest is Kimbley...he's a (former) state alchemist right? So could he not be considered a sacrifice? If so...why is he helping the enemy as it were? Anyone have any ideas to this?

i think it's because he's messed in the head. he's the real world equivalent of a psychotic killer: just loves killing. the homunculus offers him power and freedom to do this - there's no reason why he would refuse =)

Well to be rather blunt; he isn't the type to resurrect anyone, so it's very unlikely that he would become a sacrifice. He may know this.

Maybe Kimbley didn't knew about it ? He just merely a pawn anyway.

Not all alchemists are referred to as sacrifices. Some of them are 'potential' ones. Think whether you qualify as a sacrifice would depend on your mastery of alchemy. Like how Al got 'promoted' from potential to confirmed sacrifice once they realised Al has seen the Gates.

If you wanna go by dialogue confirmed "facts" anyone who's been through the gates is a confirmed sacrifice.

Well, if you've read chapter 71, it's been confirmed now...he is just a psycho, plain and simple.

I actually am starting to understand Kimbley's perspective. he is much more rational and, dare I say it, calculating than what I would have expected. I think he's much more rational than anyone gives him credit for.

I agree with urameshi...although he is shown psycho but what he said in the last chp (71) shows he's not an idiot and complete psycho,and we don't even know about his past.
