This movie makes almost no sense whatsoever. A random group of people want to go to Shambala because it's the "sacred land". Okay, things skip from one place to another and if you saw the movie, you wouldn't beleive that it's even related to FMA.

Nazis, from our world during the 2nd WW want to go to shambala yes. Which is in the FMA world. And the powers in the FMA world originate from the carnage in our world or sth along those lines. Basically it is only a follow up to the anime, which after a certain point stops following the manga completely.
And yes the movie was confusing as hell.
The group is the Thule Society and they believe that the FMA world will give them the edge in bringing about the third reich and make Germany the most powerful nation on earth
......
true the movie was confusing and [to me] pointless on many accounts, but i also think it wrapped up the entire series pretty well. i was very happy to see ed and al reunited.
The time period is between WW1 and WW2 probably mid 20's. The Nazi party was just starting, and it shows the Beer Hall Pusch. The time where Hitler tried to take over the government for the first time, or got caught or something like that. Was put in jail and wrote Mein Kamph.
Bullet Tooth Tony: You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
Reporter on Titan Maximum: Sasha is there any connection between your poor album sales and the fact that it sucked?
that's true. i probably would have changed a few things myself. the thing about ed and al is that its as if they were destined to be just by themselves. i feel as if winry spent all her life trying to understand ed's and al's aspirations and situation and get closer to them, but never quite succeeded. thus, even if she was left by herself [which is indeed a very sad thing], i guess it was meant to be.
I didn't think it was hard to follow at all, it was a good end to the anime. If they had just left it a the anime ending I would have been dissapointed. I liked the end of the movie, but I guess I'm a sucker for depressing endings.
I agree with rose.. i like the movie it was an almost good ending to fma. what happend to winry at the end?? i like the facts that they put nazies and also the part of searching for shambala it is a book about it because those were real parts those things really happend.
The end of the anime was a good ending for me..except that Al nd Ed weren't together.. i like the last minute when they extend their hand to the sky luv that moment makes me cry!!
