    well i pretty much guessed the whole country as a transmute circle, but it's a good thing that they finally say it out loud so we can get on as to WHY that guy (ed's father look alike) is doing it. I mean, for someone that achieved immortality, i don't see what else is important to them.

    Because he wants to create a Philosphers Stone great enough to open the Gate of Truth so he can learn the Truth and more or less become a God.

    That chapter was fantastic, no disappointment whatsoever, answered many questions. Can't wait for the next one! (unfortunately will have to though )

    my theory is that they are 2 halfs of the same process and that the original creation of the stone created both father and ed and al's dad and that the reason he wants the stone is not only to open the gate of truth but because he wants more life-remeber the stones are just the condensed spirits ex. of people so it means that they are not limitless and that he will eventually run out
