I just caught up with the manga since my friend told me that it goes in a totally different direction then the anime. I love the anime, its one of my favs of all time.
And here is what came to thought, are the seven deadly sins more represented in the Anime or Manga?
For example, in the anime, all the humunculi were made because of the Humans trying to preform something that is taboo and is punished for it by the humunculi. They sinned by trying to bring somebody back and are paying for it when a humunculi is born or whatever. It all made sense to me. Its the reasons why they had the seven deadly sins as names.
Now in the Manga, They aren't created from your sins, but a God-like person Creates them (you know the "Old Man" Honemheim lookalike). And in my opinion they aren't really sins against humanity because Humanity didn't create or make the sins, that God-like person did.
Its very confusing but interesting and I really can't wait for Arakawa ties the deadly sins and the God-like person in.
I would like to know anybody elses opinions, because this is what I think that makes the Anime/Manga so interesting. Its not really the Alchemy that makes it so popular and most read/watched(to a point), but Philosophy/Religion that makes you want to sit down and think.
