ok, i think that the seven sins thing works perfectly with the manga because you might look at wikipedia on the seven deadly sins and it says that greed should be boiled in a pot of oil, and that Lust should be burn and all that stuff, i predict that all the other homunculi will die the same way, like how i think it is sloth will die in a fight with orochimaru(sloth should be placed among snakes-i think thats it) and wrath will die fighting scar (i think it was dismemberment, correct me if i am wrong)(also, if you do not get it, scar will blow up his limbs). now, i know i just ruined that whole thing right there, but you get the point, right, if not then you should just die, don't ask me about it. also orochimaru is an enemy in naruto that everyone thinks is a pedophile.

Even though he did get several bullet wounds I would still strike out the fact that he could be a Humonculous because he can bare children (Ed and Al). And Humonculi shouldn't be able to bare children they can only adopt (Like in Bradley's case).

I think he's gonna reveal why he can sustain damage without dying, soon and why he's been gone so long.

I think he might have a connection to the Humonculi, because "Father" mentioned him. But I think that Hohenheim learned the error of his ways and left.

I guess I'll just have to wait for future chapters involving him.
i totaly agree with you, hohenheim is not a homunculus. now(anyone who with a brain should leave now for fear of a head ache), my theory is the evil twin thing, i think that hohenheim is just as cool as his wierd look alike, exept not as cool because he refused his chance to become the super god man that that his smart twin turned out to be(idiot). if you have the chance at power then use it, don't just run around and impress people by wearing kevlar and showing off your immortality!

also, the anime homunculi do not get affected like the manga homunculi because they are only killed when they are near their remains

I thought that the manga and anime did a good job with the homunculi but the manga did a far better job thatn the anime. If you stretch it, the homunculi symbolize the sin of the maker. for example, Lust was created because Scar's brother loved her, Pride was created by Dante because of her obvious god complex. If you look closely, Sloth was created because the Elric brothers were too "lazy" (couldn't accept her death) to move on with their lives, Wrath was because Izumi was angry at herself. that is my view.

My two cents about the Hohenheim/Father thing... i believe that hohenheim could be a homunculus (don't all kill me for this just yet!). here's my proof
    1. Bullets somehow don't hurt him and there is the obvious fact that he looks EXACTlY like his "Father". If Father is the Devil of FMA then he would obiously have something look like him have super powers. Father is also skilled at making Homunculi.
    2. Father is very aware of his abilities but was only slightly surprised that Hohenheim was able to have kids
    3. the motive is the most important. Father's goal is to try and become God/immortality (i.e looking for a perfect body). My theory is that Hohenheim was an advanced Homunculus that didn't meet his needs.it is also implied that they had a falling out. A body that never ages and is very resistant to damage is a very useful thing to have. Greed was looking for something very similar when he stole Al.
    4. Motive 2. There was a chapter where ed discovers the lost civilization and the ouroborous dragon is inverted downward (in real life it is supposed to wrap around the circle) to bring god down so therefore Father could symbolize the Devil wanting God's Throne. so hohenheim could be his advocate/anti-christ
    that is my opinion

On a new note for those who missed out on seeing Sloth back when Greed was boiled by "father" on the cross. The end of the latest chapter shows him in much greater detail.

All this discussion makes me want to know what/who Hoheheim is right now. xD Can't wait until its revealed (though I doubt it'll be anytime soon).
