I think playing Hohenheim off like a humonculous is just a trick done by Arakawa. She usually likes to pull the wool over your eyes. She's done it many times before, I think she likes tricking us. But it makes good storytelling.

Even though he did get several bullet wounds I would still strike out the fact that he could be a Humonculous because he can bare children (Ed and Al). And Humonculi shouldn't be able to bare children they can only adopt (Like in Bradley's case).

I think he's gonna reveal why he can sustain damage without dying, soon and why he's been gone so long.

I think he might have a connection to the Humonculi, because "Father" mentioned him. But I think that Hohenheim learned the error of his ways and left.

I guess I'll just have to wait for future chapters involving him.

Its true that we have nothing to assume that Hoheheim is a Homunculus, but I think its safe to say he's got SOME kind of connection to them. If Father's mentioned him, and he can get shot several times and act like it didn't affect him, I'd like to know just why he's been gone for so long, why Father knows him, and why he can get shot without being hurt. Though I'm sure it'll all be revealed to us sooner or later. xD

The manga represents them much better. Like what others have said, and that the fact that they die according to the way they're tortured in Hell:
"According to The Picture Book of Devils, Demons and Witchcraft, by Ernst and Johanna Lehner, each of the Sins was associated with a specific punishment in Hell.

    Sin Punishment in Hell
    Pride Broken on the Wheel.
    Envy Placed in freezing water.
    Wrath Dismembered Alive.
    Sloth Thrown in Snake Pits.
Greed Put in pots of boiling oil.
Gluttony Forced to eat rats, toads, and snakes.
Lust Smothered in Fire and Brimstone."

In the manga, "Father" kills Greed by boiling him. Also, Mustang kills Lust by flaming her over and over.

And Sloth is seen midways in chap. 31, btw.

I don't think so. I think the creator will have them die by that, but they can be killed by just being killed over and over. Remember that one time Gluttony was nearly killed, but Father fed him some stones.

He didn't feed him stones. He just re-energized the stone already in him.

It could just be pure coincidence, though it may also have something to do with the list from the book. I don't think the mangaka just kills them randomly like that without having a point. But ultimately, that could just be me thinking too much. xD

Well its ovbious Arakawa wont just randomly kill off a sin for no reason, nor wil the death be something lame(like getting hit by traffic while chasing after the boys..as funny as that would be to see in a parody.) But i wouldnt look to deeply into the sin punishment=how they die, id keep it in mind slightly but wouldnt assume thats how theyl die. I keep hopeing for Bradley to turn good, i see him as more of a "neutral evil" thing. I dont belive the nice and funny side of him weve seen is all an act but i of course wont say the "evil" side is in act as well.
