That's what I like about the manga, it develops things a bit slower, allows you more time to get to know the characters and understand them. xD But both are still good.

I just read the manga and haven't watched the anime and judging by what people are saying im inclined not to since it seems that it goes on a different route.

Well it does diverge after the Greed arc, but that doesn't make it not worth the watch, you know? But ultimately, that your decision. You don't have to watch it if you don't want to, but my personal opinion is that the anime is good as an anime. Just don't compare it to the manga. xD

The show is not half as good as the manga. Making an anime on FMA firstly was a big mistake(if they wanted to maintain the manga storyline that is) since the chapters release once a month. If FMA was released even twice a month, it would have a lot of fillers to prevent it from catching up to the manga(which would suck) so rather than doing that they took this alternate path which was surprisingly good(though not as good as the original manga).

Yeah, Ling Yao and the entire plot device of Xing was not seen in the anime, the new Greed, the actual Pride, the "Guardian" at the Doors of Truth, and "Father". The anime had Dante and the ideas behind Sloth and Wrath; Trisha Elric and Izumi Curtis's baby weren't turned into homunculi in the manga.

In fact...the very idea of human transmutation is changed when Studio Bones did the anime. Don't get me wrong, I adore the artwork, but as far as storyline, read the manga. Please. You'll love it.

I watch the anime every once in a while and both Eds voice and Al's voice are soooo GODDAMN ANNOYING.

They sound nothing like that in the manga ha. ha. ha.

You do mean the Japanese voices, right? Romi Paku (plays Ed) voice acts in a whole bunch of other animes as well so everytime I hear her voice, I'm like 'ahhh its Ed again' xD I think Al's voice was okay though...

    ^^^ Jing, you're kidding right?

The MANGA hasn't finished, the anime has. Both have damn interesting storylines. My advice, read the manga. There's a lot more fighting, and the story is great. The only downside is that the main group scanning does not have RAWs or cleaners at the standard of Evil-Genius (who did the earlier chapters).
