Thread: Who is the father?!? (SPOILERS)

I always wanted to open Theard to discuss the matter of the father and the homunculi so i opened up this thread...what is making me think is the fact that Ed couldn't use the alchemy back there...y?!? and y the father has the same face as hohemnhai (ed's father can't remember the name) my theory is what happens if u try to revive a person that is already living and let them eat the red water... and what is the difference between the european like alchemy and asian like alchemy...of course everything ya will write will be theories but please keep it logical....

I've always been wondering who he is too...and why does Hohenheim know him? (at least seem to) And what was that all about not being able to use alchemy? I wonder how Scar and that little girl's alchemy are different...

ok, about the little girls alchemy i have a theory...in asian culture it's notorius the fact that Chakra exists what if the little girl uses the chakra as an energy for alchemic transmutations, so she uses the internal psychic energy to transmute stuff, while edward as seen in the anime (don't know if it counts for the manga too but really improbable) uses the souls of the people dead beyond the gate maybe they couldn't use alchemy because when edward used that transmutation to get out of gluttony's body he closed temporarly the gate and so the energy used for transmutations...while for the father of the Homunculi i don't have any idea at all i mean there isn't still any info to make a logical theory

True true. But what about Scar? He isn't from Asia and he could still use his alchemy. But I'm pretty sure that in due time, the manga will explain it all for us, or at least, drop a few more clues so we can actually form a theory. xD

well i've got a theory for scar too we were told (can't really remember the exact chapter) that scar's brother was studying both types of alchemy creating like a mix of both and so he tatooed that trasmutation circles on his body...if this theory is true than scar should be using a totaly differnet kind of alchemy that contais knowledge of both alchemies...while for the energy source of the alchemy that scar uses it is not possible to say cuz he till now didn't fully complete a transmutation as he stops atthe destruction state and so i can't tell at all

ok first of all, manga and anime are not the same so when you talk of manga, forget that the anime exist

now, Father is the one that created all the homunculis, the homunculs are Father's sins, he is only able to create 7 homunculs cuz of the 7 sins of father, about human transmutation, well, it says as the name what you do is to create a Human body, thats why Ed's mother was not his mother when they try to resurect her. in anime the homunculs are born with failed human transmutations, here Father and ONLY Father can create an homuncul.

Hohenhaim alike to Father in the fisic, the fans still don't know what is arakawa planing but there are a lot of theories, like for example that hohenhaim is the 8th homuncul, but that is no posible because the homunculs can't reproduce themselves with the others, and hohenhaim's sons are Ed and Al (and they are both bastards btw xd), another theory is that father threw away his human part but I don't think that would be the correct thin D:

and about why the alchemy didn't worked I don't remember but Im sure it was explained in the manga or sorta. and yea, Xing's alchemy is different froms Amestri's alchemy, and the other thing I quite don't remember was about scar's alchemy, I think it was the rentanjutsu (Alchemy of Xing) and thats why It worked, Mei's alchemy its rentanjutsu and I think also scar's alchemy, its sayd on the chapter were appears the brother of scar, he says what alchemy he is learning.

Scar's alchemy is separate from both renkitjitsu and rentanjutsu. Scar's brother used a form of alchemy that used balance by giving one arm capability for destruction and the other construction.

My theory on Scar and the little girl's "alchemy" is very simple.

She mentioned that it draws it's power from the world around it, rather than from the body, and she has to "contract the earth" rather than just draw any symbol.


What do we call that normally? Geomancy.

Does that mean that Scar only got the arm of destruction?
