Smile Which Ed do you prefer? Anime or Manga or both?

Well, after reading all manga chapters and watching the whole anime series, even the movie of Full Metal Alchmemist, I'm now a fan of Ed - just because he is cute and also very cool!!!
But to choose between anime and manga, which is better is very difficult. The same goes for Ed. After all, I decided that I love both Ed (because I love Ed too much, haha).
But I wonder how about others? What do you think about this?

Hmmm I'd say the manga version of Ed is angrier and less likely to cry. The anime plot, however, proved to be more somber, so that explains that...

I guess to answer your original inquiry, though...

I like the anime Ed a bit more maybe because he seems less 'shounen' and more 'human'. The way his emotions are always on a constant roller coaster; raging one second, incredibly sad the next. I do like his character a lot. I thought all the people in FMA were excellently done. ^_^

You just said that he is emotionaly instable...thats right. I heard someone compared him to Tetsu (i mean the jounger brother) from Peacemaker Kurogane. But Tetsu is not just instable he is almost insane. There is a great difference right? And looks like Ed have no chance of becoming mad...but this will be just in the mood of an anime version.

I think they are basically the same, but manga Ed is facing different challenges and since its manga you see more of him anyway. So manga Ed is my choice, but movie Ed wasn't to bad either.

I agree, Ed in the anime is more a child. His emotions burst as he feels them, but I feel that he grows up faster in the anime series+ the movie. The way changed from the bratty, sarcastic kid to the understanding, wise teenager-ish person. I dunno, but that's just my feeling. I think that Ed grew a lot faster in the anime (perhaps because it was technically shorter), but I love Ed (anime or manga)!
