Same here, didn't notice a thing...was there something?
I too, am too lazy to go check.

alright. i was the not lazy one and checked ^^ the first pic is from chapter 54 [the fool's struggle], the chapter [spoiler warning (for all those sensitive people out there)] that ling becomes greed and the second is from chapter 63 [a 520-cenz promise].
conclusion: yup the hands are different. but its just the homunculus mark.
edit//oh yes, if these pics are too big and violates some forum rule (though i swear ive checked) please do tell me. i'll remove them/resize them.

gaaahahaha I was right without even knowing what we were talking about!
That's an interesting development. I wonder if it's just an error, or if it's going to mean something big later. I'm hoping its the latter.

I think she just forgot to draw it on... or he's wearing gloves... or homunculi can hide the... I have no idea what I'm talking about...
its possible that whenever ling takes over the body, the tatoo vanishes...
thats exactly what i was thinking. because if you think about the other homunculi, like wrath (is it wrath? the one with the eyepatch i mean) why would he wear an eye patch if he could just "hide" it? also, i believe that it's the tatoo is one of the things that identifies them as homunculi. also, i think the possibility that arakawa-sensei made a mistake is very low...
The thing about the other homunculi is that they arent more than one entity in one body. In Ling, there's greed and then there's ling, sitting on the sidelines. Wrath just has the wrath "entity" in him, so his mark never disappears and there is no internal conflict.
If the mark went away when Ling got in charge, then greed wouldn't ever get control back. I think its just a mistake because Ling never fully wrests control of his body from greed, he's always in the process of doing so, not succeeding.
