Thank you for that article! Haha. I can't seem to get enough of stuff like these. I admit that I'm a nerd on the inside. Anyway, you learn something new everyday. ^_^

So it seems they went down to the sub-atomic particle level. I never knew that it was the number of protons that defined the element. It's kind of a mix of particle physics and nuclear chemistry. Argh. I'm over-analyzing again. Please don't mind my raving.

lol, if you're interested in the stuff, any high school chemistry course can teach you all the basics about elements and whatnot =P

Nah. I've already gone through high school chem, I have no intention of going through it again. ^_^ Although a nuclear chem or inorganic chem course sounds nice.

What is the purpose of this thread: to revise middle school material or to disscuss absolutely unreal and fantastic (and because of that interesting) conseption of FMA alchemy? By the way: are there any schools in there hometown or the Great National Alchemists doesn't have a school graduation diploma? If not that would be funny

I thought you said you were a huge chem buff, but you didn't even understand the basic classification of elements. What else do you not know?
