Thread: Application of Alchemy

What are some interesting ways of applying alchemy that you guys can think of? (outside of what was already shown in the manga of course)

i think water alchemist would be cool; alchemize the water vapours in the atmosphere to create a blast of water/ice missiles, or a mist to confuse the enemy.

As was stated, alchemy can be used to either create or destroy. Are you asking something other than what it sounds like you're asking? Because it sounds like you're more interested in the different kinds of martial alchemists.

Bio-alchemists? Using plant matter or forcing growth a la mokuton (Yamamoto/Tenzou from Naruto).

I always thought the Crimson Alchemist's stuff was really really neat. Turning the sulfur (and whatnot) in people's bodies into bombs. Sweet.

Tongue alchemy. Orochimaru can do it. Very useful in different ways (such as killing and stealling sausages in Octoberfest)

i think it wouldn't go as far as oro's can if it was alchemy... you'd only be able to turn it into a long thin strip that could go... oh... 1-2 metres i suppose ?

Hm... Convert the amino acids in your body into more materials for your tongue! 30-40 m is more like it! I dunno where you'd hide it though.

sand + air = sandstorm. i think that would be deadly *and* screws over their visibility.
