    Yes!
    Well said

I preffer the manga but that's not to say the anime did not do a good job either. I like them both but like you said the manga is just deeper.

Still..I'm wondering why the decision was made to have an original ending?

probably because 1) the manga hasn't been completed (no duh) 2) its better than just leaving us hanging (like in hunterxhunter) 3) they didnt feel like doing fillers for a manga that comes out once a month

Naruto isn't complete and they adapted it into an anime series and so far there have been no differences [Usually just less blood/loss of limb]

Sure there's filler but that's no big deal. There's nothing wrong with how the anime turned out...I would've preffered to have seen an adaptation that's more true to the source. And sure it comes out once a month but it's still about 40 pages or so, wich is almost three times as much as the amount of pages shown in weekly mangas. Essentially it's probably the same thing [I don't want to do math right now...]

i wont argue with you on that one; i'm too lazy to go calculate it. though, i'm actually glad they didnt make fillers though. i dont like fillers. not that naruto and bleach fillers are horrible or anything--i simply just dont like them >.< i think making a separate ending was better for FMA though. i mean, most of the story is centered around ed and al regaining their former bodies. unlike bleach or naruto, i think it would be harder to create a new arc for FMA without explaining some things (things that arakawa sensei hasnt explained in the manga).

Actually we get "cheated" out of a few pages each month. FMA releases an average of 44 pages per month. A manga like Naruto releases 17 pages a week. 17 x 4 = 68 but Naruto is way bigger than FMA so there's a whole team of artists working on Naruto.. I don't know if FMA's author has the same sort of support.

That pisses me off with Battle Angel Alita. It takes months for the next volume to come out just because it isn't big in Japan when it's so goddamn awesome and there's just the one guy working. Stupid japanese people. Like the good stuff. Not... like the shit... which is shit... um... yeah, they got it backwards.

It has nothing to do with how many people are working on it. Itís the magazine it is serialized in, Fullmetal Alchemist just happened to be in the SquareEnix Gangan which is a monthly magazine so each chapter comes out every month.

So what? If more people were working on it, there would be 68 pages as opposed to 44 each month. More people = less work for the author = possibly more work FROM the author. I like FMA fine the way it is, but who doesn't want more?

Its true that with more people working on something, it'll be longer and come out faster (well if not faster, longer then) and I'm sure plenty of people want more. Maybe it just isn't as popular in Japan. Who knows?
