Thread: FMA anime vs...

That would be because Funimation... the company that brought the FMA anime to the US is better at advertising than Viz. And FMA aired on the most popular cartoon station in the US... Adult Swim, in addition the Anime has been in the states slightly longer.

Its been airing on YTV (adult swim is states only yes?) and its all out of order...

After completeing the anime and the movie, and being completely up to date with the manga its the manga that gets my vote. There is just more story and involvement, deeper exploration of the characters. Not that I don't like the anime, but its over whereas the manga is still going.

i liek the anime plot and i also like the manga plot both similar but different i love the manga and i voted for it but the anime is pretty sweet aswell

I like the anime because I love drama. I didn't like the movie though because they all left Winry. That was just mean. But, I dislike the manga. I find it to be very boring and the extra characters are annoying. My opinion, don't bash me for it.

I agree with Madi-chan that there are indeed a lot more characters in the manga, and although I'll agree some of them are unnecessary, I guess you need a variety of people to make a good plot. xD I think the manga's...slowing down. There hasn't been any action for a while now...I want to see some kick-butt fighting!

Yes, it's slowing down. That is why I stopped reading it and deleted it all off my computer. I made me too bored. I suppose I'll go through the new chapters and read them to see if I can change my mind.

I wouldn't keep your hopes up, it still isn't all the interesting yet.

The anime is pretty good...

Manga, in my opinion is [currently] about 10,000 times better. This might change for the better or worse once more chapters are released.

The anime was really sad. [Not Neon Genesis Evangelion sad, but still pretty sad]. By the time Conqueror of Shamballa [which is a part of the anime] ended I felt like Ed should've stayed in Amestris...they left Winry alone. Probably crying herself to sleep everyday...[makes me sad ]

The manga is still going and so far every plot point is better than the anime in my opinion. And as for what Silver Nightingale said, I totally disagree. The manga is incredible. And it's only getting better as more things are revealed.

though there are no action lately, i think from the way that the manga is going, it is going to be huge..
