shortcut on how to create an RTS game OR how to mod 2 games

there are two rts games i really like : ParaWorld and BattleRealms, and I want to get a game where all the teams from both games can be in 1 place



I only know a little bit of programming and was wondering if its possible that I can mod one game enough so that it looks closer to the other, or, if theres and easy rts builder somewhere , which i could hopefully get to be like the game i want in about 2 years or so .
