As the spam in this forum has gotten ridiculous (from the spambots, not you guys, of course!), and the forum seems to be mostly inactive, I'm considering asking Kane for this forum to be closed. It's just too much for me to delete all that spam, and you guys really don't use it anyway. It's become a pit for spambots despite having a real purpose and a moderator who can't stand to see this happening (or the repeated report PMs in her e-mail inbox).

I'd be happy to save any threads you want to keep and see about moving them to another subforum. If you have any thoughts on this decision, or threads you want to be moved, please post in this thread.

I still visit some of the TWG and Survivor games here as a reference for future games. is it possible to just lock this place down and not have it deleted?

Probably. In fact, that's probably a better idea - Kane doesn't seem to like deleting things. I don't know if it can be done (hm, maybe change the name to "archive" instead, for moving things to?)... well, thanks for the suggestion!

I don't see the point in closing the entire place. First of all, I don't understand how the bots are only targetting this place.
Secondly, if we knew that they were targetting this place, I believe we should, from now on close every thread after the game is finished.
So if you close the section, what's gonna happen next? You basically lose an entire section? Is it possible to make another one for the same purpose and start closing the threads once the games are finished? I know, we haven't been active lately , I'll try to change that.

Anyway, how about this: you make a subsection in the forum games thread, copy everything in it and then close it. The section itself would remain untouched and its purpose won't change. And future threads would be locked up when games are over.

Anyway....I wonder how many days it will take for digi to see the posts in this thread.

Btw..didn't kane say something like "let's let them be able to moderate the site on their own " or smth ? Like...make us able to delete the adv without needing to report them, and WAIT for something to happen.?

Seriously Digi, if only the pms or the reports that pop up in your email make you come back here, I'd seriously consider resigning if I were you.

^I agree completely. Also, you shouldn't mod a section you hate simply because the section needs modding.

Why did deletion even come up as an option here when so many less active subs populate this forum? Especially subs for series that have been over in all senses of the word for years.

As far as I´m concerned, that problem is more or less finito for me till we get more on it from Kane.

if you're not going to say something that MATTERS or is RELATED to the issue at hand, please stop posting. If you don't want this thread to turn into another THAT discussion, then why did you make that post?

I don't care about other issues that we've had in the past. This is NOT related whatsoever to problems we've experienced before. This is not a thread for you to start bashing the mods or throwing 'cheap shots'. You completely misunderstood me, i don't have anything against Digi. The only thing I am concerned of is her being inactive when her sections need her activity.
Also, I hope modship status hasn't become something to be accustomed to. If you really don't have the time for it, don't push yourself or do it just because you have to and because you've been a mod for dunno how long.

That being said, I am concerned of this section ONLY and would appreciate if you'd stop posting comments telling us how you don't want to be involved.
