The group that returned from Digi’s house were dazed. The other townsfolk asked about what had happened there, but the group just shook their heads. Digi was gone, and that was all that they needed to know. The details weren’t important.
The votes were going round and round. People just couldn’t decide who should be next. “Vote Zia” “Vote Owl” “Vote Clinton”, the townsfolk were definitely losing the plot.
“We can’t just randomly lynch people. We’re townies, not psychos” said Mouse. He raised his arm to gesture for emphasis. Something small, metallic and sharp dropped to the ground.
“It’s a knife – lynch him,” came the call.
“Um, no, it’s a scalpel” Mouse tried to explain. It was no use. The townies weren’t in a listening mood.
Realising it was now or never, Mouse decided to run for it. “OMG, look, it’s Jakko” shouted Mouse pointing. The townies turned to see who he was pointing at. It was all the opportunity he needed. Luckily for Mouse, he, like his namesake, was fast under pressure. Before the townies even knew he had left, he was already out the door. He would have to find a place to hide. The townies had lost four of their own and now that they thought they had a mafia in their grasp, they weren’t likely to let him slip out of their fingers. Where could he go? Mouse glanced around furiously. Suddenly he spotted it. Across the road, on the back of a truck was what appeared to be a large steel drum.
Faster than he thought possible, Mouse made it across the road and into the drum. It seemed to be some sort of container. There was enough room for him to stand or sit comfortably. He’d wait until nightfall, and then make his break for the city limits. The shouts of the townies got softer and softer and finally disappeared. It took nearly an hour for the adrenaline rush to pass. He’d done it. He’d got free. Mouse let out a long sigh and closed his eyes.
A loud metallic scraping noise woke him from his slumber. The complete darkness was disorientating and it took him a while to remember where he was. Someone must’ve put the cover on the drum. The scraping stopped and was replaced by a loud gush – there was water filling into the tank.
“No” thought Mouse, “Anything but this – anything but drowning.” The water level continued to rise, above his knee, above his waist, to his chest. Soon it was at his head. This was it. This was the end. Then it stopped. Mouse squeaked with joy. He was still smiling to himself when he felt the heat rising through the floor. The container wasn’t a water drum. It was a hot water tank.
The Townie turned the tap and waited for the water to heat, before filling the kettle. It took a bit of time, but then the hot water tank was new. He made himself a cup of tea and thought about the day. Mouse’s escape disturbed him. Had he run because he was guilty, or simply out of fear? Well, that was something to worry about later. For the moment, he would enjoy his tea.
Infamouse was the Medic and died by standard lynch.

Baka-mouse, there was at least 12 hours left before the end of the day, you could've said something and we could've lynch someone else.
The Townies got ready to head home. This evening seemed to be dragging on for ages. There were a lot of people with large decisions to make.
The night phase will end in 5 hours time. Anyone intending to do anything in the night phase, please pm me before then.

You do if you want your vote to count.
I can't believe he escaped that lynching. well we still have the next day for him.
