@Henchy & Darkus & Vince & Razzy -Anyways, before I miss my chance to put my suggestion out, here are my suggestion for keeping the game more accurate and less frenzy-like:
1) Make every 10th poster update the points along with his/her move, and force the game to have a 10 minute wait period at these posts so that the game is periodically recalibrated by its players.

No, it's not switching the 4 min to 10 minutes. The difference is that instead of waiting, we're giving this time to the 10th poster to make the points accurate. If there are mistakes in the poster's tallying, someone else can point out the error, and the poster can fix it. The only point of this rule is recalibrating. It doesn't dodge the rush; it just prevents long-term mistakes made during the rush.

A more direct approach could be just to put a cap on how many players there are per survivor game, or split the players into smaller rounds and have them play in sub-brackets.
