New Twg discussion/ideas.
Right all the ideas please (fast/slow paced), put up all the roles you might think of, and we'll put in a good one. I'll make it as balanced as I think it could be.
hmmm I think we should give some new roles a try, we had two back-to-basic games finished and now we should have a new one, with more rules and roles...

I'll post a few:
Teleporter- Can switch bodies with anybody every 3 days. (day 1, day 3, day 6 etc.). I still haven't decided his alignment. He can't switch bodies with the guard/people who are guarded. I'm also thinking that if he chooses to "power up" he gets to reveal his role publicly, and in return he gets to change bodies every day. If he does that, his condition to win is be the last person remaining. (We can change the characteristics, like alignment or uses of his power). A teleporter must choose the person he wants to change to in the begining of the day (or the night phase), so that he could get lynched/night killed without being able to change his vote.
The clam clan/kamikaze's: They want everyone dead. I kinda want a couple of those guys in to cause a riot.
The idiot: Immune to mafia kills, however if he reveals his role to the public, or he gets pinged by the seer then he'd lose his ability. (I'm only thinking about this idea, I don't really wanna put it in).
Mafia: Don't wanna make it conversions, since that will make it harder for the townies. I also don't know to either give them a hitman, or to give them a teleporter.
Baiscally if it's bipolar game there will be a lot of urinating.

hmm new roles? how about:
Historian: Chooses one role. They will learn the identity of the chosen role
you can choose from anyways to weaken the role:
**It takes 3-4 days to finish.
**They can only choose Townie roles
**They only receive clues each night (one letter of the name) and not the whole name of the roled player.
Novice Necromancer: Brings a player back to life every 2-3 days
you can add any of this if you like:
**The person back to life has a 50% chance of becoming a zombie
----Zombies can kill a player but they're identity will be known. Zombie victory: everyones a zombie
**They can only use this ability twice in the game
**If a coroner is brought back to life. They will become a ghoul and will consume dead one player every night. Consumed players cannot be brought back to life
Light: He can PM the GM a name every night. The PM should include the person's role and name (e.g. Kolox, Psychic). If the role matches the name. That person dies.
you can add any of this if you like:
**Not applicable to normal Mafias (Assassin's can be killed).
**Replacement for Assassin. Light will be a mafia
L: Immune to Light's ability. They can choose to "Investigate" one player per night. Investigated person wouldn't be able to use their ability for that night. If the target player is Light he loses his ability to kill people permanently.
Fake seer (Mafia): They can ping players but they wouldn't learn they're identity. Target players receive a PM from the GM showing that they got pinged by the seer.
well if you want to add new elements to the game. we can use the house rule and items again but its gonna be hard for the GM. >_<
If you want to use the items for the game again. You can also implement the Salary rule. The GM can open up a shop and players earn one gold per day. They can use that gold to buy items. Items arrives the next day after purchasing it. ^^

well it is true that we have to limit some of the roles. Too many of them will make the game to difficult to handle and the rules will get mixed up in the process. If you want to add more roles. try limiting the number of complicated roles and have plenty of simple roles.
More Complicated roles:
Zetsubou sensei: could not be lynched/killed by normal mafia. They have a 50% chance of dying on the start of each day.
You can also add:
**They are not allowed to reveal they're role in the thread
Stalker: chooses a target player on the start of the game. They will learn what the target player is doing but will get killed as well if that target player gets killed.
//target is a mafia: they will know that if this player is killing other players. (Mafias has to pick a representative for the killings for each night)
//target is a roled townie: they will know that player "targeted" another townie (pings, protects etc.)
//the target will not know that they are being stalked :P
Simple roles: Some of these has been use in the previous game
Evil-looking guy: (Townie) When he/she gets pinged. The results shows that they are a mafia but they are definitely a townie.
Cleric: They can choose one player everynight. That target player will learn that they are a cleric.
Martyr: When this player dies. There won't be any other deaths on that night.
