    ^ How's that work?

Always before, we've had the threat of the seer/spokesperson/mayor/ect being guarded, but the wolves wouldn't know if that was actually the case, now they would know...it does help us a little I guess, but the ones to take the most advantage of it would definitely be the wolves.

Not true that are a number of ways it helps.
    1. The seer knows Kolox is not the guardian.
    2. It tells us that the guardian was protecting someone.
More into this, it does not matter if the wolves know who the guardian protected the night before the fact is the don't know who the guardian will protect the next night.
If people disagree I will remove it.

^ I wouldn't want it done because of me, but I do believe that it doesn't help then townies when you balance out the effects of this.

If you do change it though, I would suggest that you tell us exactly when you do it so that there's no confusion.

Hmmm, I think, adonai, before we come to any concrete conclusion, we need to get the facts perfectly straight.

The rules do not say that the guardian cannot guard themselves, only that they cannot protect themselves. Personally, if I were a guardian, I would protect myself the first night, for deniability(funny, I spelled the word right, but Firefox says I spelled it wrong?).

This is neither here nor there, though, however, I do want to set up the base before we work our way up.

I would also side with adonai that it would not be wise to protect Kolox and use him for the spokesman. The wolves have only two threats to themselves, the seer and the guardian. Making the guardian guard only one person gets rid of half our power, and means they can attack with impunity. We need to keep the wolves guessing.

P.S. - Wolves, please, please, please don't kill me early this time. Don't be a cockbite.

If I'm not mistaken, the guardian can't protect themself by reading from the rules.
Guardian – Can save one person every night excluding the guardian.
Oh and is it just me or Bipolar was acting suspicious in the rules thread, hopefully he's not 1 of the roled >.>

And let me make my self clear again.

It says excluding, which should mean, they can't guard/protect themself?
