Survivor 2: Questions, Suggestions, and Registration

Hello all,

This is the 2nd round of Survivor. We will follow many of the rules from the last game, however there have been many interesting new functionalities and changes added in this round.

Here is the basic format of the game:

Each person get 10 points to start out with.

98. 10
Jakko. 10
Steal. 10
DE. 10

Then anyone can add or take away 1 point per post. Not both.

98. 10-1=9

No double posting.

Also, you have to wait a half an hour to post again, unless two other people have posted after you.

Max points are 25.

The winner is the last one left alive.

After you are taken out, you can still add or take away points.

We will be playing by the point system that we added in the middle of last game. You can’t add a point unless there are free points. Free points are made when a person takes away someone else’s points. Those points taken away will become free points that can be given to other players. At the end of your turn/post, list the free points left at the end of your move.

Example:
Start of game:
Urameshi 10
Henchy 10
Joey 10
I make 1st post:

Urameshi 10
Henchy 10
Joey 10-1=9

Free points: 1

Henchy makes 2nd post:

Urameshi 10+1=11
Henchy 10
Joey 9

Free points: 0

Another new feature in this game is a point exchange. If a player feels like helping another player win, they can transfer points to the person they support.

Example:
Urameshi 10
Henchy 10
Joey 10

I post:

I do a 3 point exchange with Joey.
Urameshi 7
Henchy 10
Joey 13

Another new feature is the gaming.

Throughout this game I will post games or questions that I will assign point values to. The first person to win the game or answer the question correctly will be awarded the points the question/game was worth and they will get the option to either add those points to themselves or another person, or remove that many points from another person. I am the only person who can post these kinds of questions with points.

Example:

I post:
Question: Who is the current president of the United States? (2 pts)
Henchy:
George W. Bush.

I post: Correct.

Henchy:

Urameshi 10
Henchy 10
Joey 10-2=8

***A special feature of the gamble is that anyone can participate in it, dead or alive, to get points. So, if a dead person wins the game, they can resurrect themselves.

*Also note that my games may be things like solving a hangman, identifying a song, person, or fictional character, or an assortment of various trivia questions. I will try my best to make it fair for everyone.

Another feature of this game is dueling. If you want to take another person out of game personally, you can challenge that player to a duel. The challenged person has a choice to accept or reject the duel, but every time the challenged person refuses the duel, s/he loses 1 point. Also, when people challenge or are challenged by other players for a duel, neither player can have their points added to or taken away from by other players in the game. If the challenged person accepts the duel, then no other player can affect their points till the duel is over.

The way dueling will work is that I will present the duelers with a few questions I designate as duel questions for that specific duel with various point values (presented 1 at a time). The first person to answer the question correctly will be able to subtract the amount of points the question was worth from their dueling opponent. The questioning would continue till one of the duelers dies.

Ex:
Henchy posts:

I challenge Loca to a duel.
Loca 10
Henchy 10
Joey 10

Loca: I accept.

Urameshi: Duel Question(Henchy, Joey)- What 3 color vectors are used to represent the color spectrum? (3 points)

The questioning would continue till one of the duelers dies.

….etc, etc.

*Note:They can also add/take points from people outside of the duel in the regular way while in the duel.
*People can enter/start multiple duels simultaneously.

Suggestion is..

Taking one point (-1) from some players, adds one point (+1) to the Free Points, but Adding one point (+1) to someone, subtract two points(-2) from the Free Points
What this make? simply you can only add one point after taking 2 from someone..

Its more like to make the game move faster, since after some rounds the freepoints will rack up pretty quick.


Ps. Dueling screams Weakest link

The point idea is pretty good. I might do it because theres going to be a ton of extra points coming in from the questions anyways (or taken out, hmm).

Dueling is the perfect counter to teams, though. I gave leeway for both an advancement of teamplay as well as a good counter against it through forcing 1-on-1 battles.

for the point exchange: can we take out the points from another player to another player or do you have to take it from yourself? and is it always 3 points?

sign me up, I like ire's idea i lot i see how that will make gameplay move faster. I've got one question for you though, say you answer a 2 point question, could you choose to split those points up between different people? If you can, can you choose to add some and subtract the rest? Im just asking now so it wont come up in the middle of the game

You can only transfer your own points. I won't allow people to transfer other people's points because then you could have one-hit kills by transferring all their points. Also, you can transfer as many points as you want to as many people as you want.

Ok. I was thinking there would be more comments on the game, but I guess I was wrong. I'm a little worried I might have made it a little to complicated, but it should be even more interesting now.
