The Mafia Game Number Eight: Final Day

The few remaining villagers gathered in a small group, huddled together protectively as if the presence of others would hide them from the creature they had cast out. Their wary yet fearful looks were all focused on that one being, irecinius. As they watched him, he only glared back.

"Fools," irecinius spat at them. "I can contact the seers, and yet you dare to call me one of them?"

"It's too late," Krytha told him harshly. "We know you lie."

"You believe - that?" irecinius waved towards El Gus, who nodded. The expressions of the townspeople did not change. They, too, were convinced.

From behind the lone suspect, footsteps sounded. "So," she murmured, "this is your final suspect."

They nodded.

"Then it is done."

A single slash of the sword and blood spurted from what was now revealed to be a deteriorating corpse. She kicked it away disgustedly. The group of villagers visibly relaxed, knowing the truth behind this traitor to them.

And then she was walking away to the edge of the village.

"Wait-" El Gus called. "Where are you going?"

"Well, it's done, isn't it?" She didn't look back at them.

"They're dead," Krytha murmured to him. "All of them."

"Right - yoda, Jakko, irecinius, flash, _Vincent_. Your zombies."

El Gus nodded sadly. "Yet we lost so many of our own - our mayor, adonai..."

"Your guardian, Siriusboon."

"Yet our seers lived," El Gus continued, on a happier note. "Were it not for Krytha and bipolargraph, we never would have known..."

"Precisely."

"Your payment?"

"You won the game, didn't you?"

And she was gone. The remaining villagers were left to simply bury the bodies and continue living.

I dunno, but good thing you had enough passwords to last the last couple of days. Not that we ended up needing them or anything.

The dates didn't really matter, just how many times they needed to be used. And why did you say three people had the entire list? I only sent it out to you and bipolar.

I can say anything I want as long as it doesn't implicate me in any way.

Oh, flash had somehow been able to crack the passwords. He'd had them for a while.

Sorry I wasn't able to really play, I really did have a pressing...engagement. And for goodness sakes, if someone makes me a wolf again, I think I will scream.

Also, I didn't want to voice this during the game, as it would seem wrong coming from a wolf, but the idea of a password and a zipped file, well, that just seems like cheating in my mind.

Really? No offense, but it sound's weird coming from you, you're the one who always tried to find technicalities to get around the rules...like the "PM everyone before finding out you're dead" plan that you proposed.

I didn't really like the idea either to be honest, I prefer for the rules to be clearly stated and adequately challenging for either side, but this game was already too slow and restrictive as it was, and I just felt like doing something besides staying alive after people voted me as mayor.

Well, it's not like they were used to any great effect. Maybe people should stop trying to get around the rules and just play how they know they should be playing.
