Okay.. this is friggin annoying me.

You guys can bash each other right here in this thread about the retreat rule.

In order for the game to resume:

Italy/Turkey- two team members must declare "It's okay to retreat into enemy territory"

or

France/Russia- two team members must declare "It's not okay to retreat into enemy territory."


...Germany, I really don't know where to group you cause you're in a win-win situation from my point of view. If it's okay to retreat into enemy territory, you regain F. Berlin which will retreat to Finland. If it's not okay to retreat into enemy territory, you kill off part of your opponent.

So.. Germany, just sit tight and relax while the two sides bash each other.. okay? ^_^

The decision will be used for this turn's ruling. Got it?

Until you guys choose the ruling, the game is on pause.

I'm sick of deciding cause I friggin never played this game before!

I'm sorry, coolpuprocks...I thought earlier, when the first units were destroyed, to say something, or check the rules, but I wasn't playing as seriously then, so I just assumed all was well and good.

I think, to be consistent, we might want to stick with not being able to retreat into enemy territory. I'm not sure if it's easier to switch the rules now, or just to keep going. It might be simpler if we stick with what we've been doing, then no one has to rethink their strategy. We can just remember it for the next time we play.

Although, I think it should be allowable to retreat into territoy that is your allies'. Say we had an alliance with Germany, and Turkey attacked us - I think in that scenario we should be able to retreat to German land if it's available.

In order to be consistent is to stick to what have been agreed upon.

I'm sorry if you missed the agreement we had before, I mean you play this game you should follow it or don't play.

Well it might be your case, but I (and other country that are following this from the beginning) have to rethink new strategies because of this.
and how about Italy's disadvantages because of that?


EDIT: I just realized something, about the rule retreating into alliance territory is not good rule, because CPR can't force the alliance between them.

obviously this is not going anywhere, as Turkey and Italy will not back off.

yes no pretty stars = not conquered, except for the one that's originally under the area of colored borders, which is signifies home country, but they can be altered if they are starred with diff color (conquered by other country).

Now, I need 1 person from team Russia/France to declare the same thing.

Russia lost an unit because "It's not okay to retreat into enemy territory". We should keep on that way. Otherwise Russia's case will be unfair. They could be winning right now, if it hadn't been because of that.

Besides, now that I've been reading some of the rules, there are some that we haven't paid attention to, nor followed.

no need to bribe you, i'll say it's not okay to retreat into enemy territory :)

at the end of this game, maybe we could review some rules, but for now let's stick to what we have been told for so long, and moreover a defending country should be at an advantage over an attacking one for retreating i think
it was funny how turkey tried to influence the decision lol, but it's true we may not be in this situation now if our fleet didn't die back then :p

hum, i'm sure that with todays rules we only recount our armies on every ODD fall, but shouldn't we earn the land on every fall ???

basically, i want to know if i can move from liverpool or not while controlling the supply center there for the next odd fall ...?

Yeah while we're at it,
imho: this game takes too long, we can actually speed it up by recount the the units on every fall or eliminating the order phase (24 hr).

if we can speed it up and get over with this before final ex week, it'd we awesome.

I vote for giving Italy +20 more fleet's.
