    Default TWG #4 Beta ideas

    Yup, TWG #3 just ened and already a #4. And yes, I will be the God. Anyways, this is where I'll be posting the beta ideas I had and try converse with others to make them more balanced.

    Changes in the game:
    I'm gonig the way of Cpr. NO NIGHT. Also, I'm going to remove the "The wolves tried to kill Csuti and failed." Instead, it will be "The wolves did not kill anyone during the night." Also, it gets boring once you die, so I added a role to help this. I'm still debating whether or not to remove the reverse ping.


    NEW WOLF ROLES:
    To add a little spice, I decided to give each wolf a minor, double-edged blade role.
    The Wolf of Foresight - This wolf has the ability to ping the God and recieve the knowledge of who owns what role. However, it takes 3 nights for this to work (including the night pinged) and the wolves may not be able to kill during those 3 nights, but if the wolf of foresight dies within those 3 nights then the effect is nulled. Also, it's only between 3 roles (insane seer, shaman's assistant, and one of the masons) and it will be random.
    The Wolf of Destruction - If this wolf chooses to activate his/her ability, then the night wolf vote can kill anyone. Even a person protected by the guardian and the bulletproof townie. However the wolves will not be able to kill the next round.
    The Wolf of Hypnotism - This wolf has the ability to change the vote of one person. However the wolves will not be able to kill that night. The wolf may not use this effect when there are less than six townies alive.
    The Wolf of Stamina - This wolf can only be lynched when there are at least 5 votes on his/her head. This effect is nulled once the townie population is less than 5.

    New Townie Roles:
    New townie roles.
    Shaman - Has the ability to speak with the dead. The Shaman, however cannot release the information he recieves to anyone.
    Shaman's assitant - Has the ability to hear the information from the Shaman.(The Shaman's assistant will gain knowledge who the Shaman is.) Also, once every 3 rounds the assisant it able to "ping" somone, allowing them to hear the Shaman's information aswell.
    Necromancer - Has the ability to revive 2 people during the game.
    Cursed Townie - This townie was bitten by one of the wolves right before this game began. Every round the townie has a 25% chance of becoming a wolf. Also, the townie doesn't know he/she is cursed so to them they think they're a normal townie. Once he does, he will gain knowledge of who the wolves are and becomes a regular wolf.

    EDIT: I would also like to point out that I will announce it when the wolves activate their effects. Example: "The Wolf of Hypnotism hypnotized coolpuprocks which forced her to change her vote to martyr3810." I will also announce when the cursed townie transforms.

    ok... can we call it the Mafia Game this time around

    and the necromancer should only be allowed to revive non roled people.
    and how do you intend on enforcing the Shamans second clause of nondisclosure.
    and wont the wolf of staminas effect automatically cause him to be obvious once he isnt dead?
    and the no wolf kill for three days in the Foresight wolf thing is way too long ... especially for the end result. wayyy too long. one day at the most and can only be used every four days is better.


    I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.

    The necromancer will be allowed to revive roled people. If you see this as unfair, then I'll reduce it to one.

    How can you force anybody of nondisclosure? The rules state the dead cannot talk, but how can you force them to not really do so? Rules also state to not post pics of your role, but how can you force them to not really do so? It's the same thing with the Shaman. If he does, he will be banned.

    The stamina's wolf sole purpose is to watse a day's lynch and have another day to live.

    Okay, first you said it's too short now you say the foresight is too long? -_- Okay, I'll change it to that if you think it's better.

    mafia game sounds much more appropriate
    scratch what i said about the necromancer
    Cursed townie = bad for townies good for wolves, once it becomes a wolf will it stay a wolf for the entire game or will it switch back, keep the wolf identities secret from him/her but let them vote for the kill is interesting
    foresight wolf is too long like i said... not a good enough / equal tradeoff for the time it costs. instead of no wolf kill just make the ability unavailable

    The cursed townie really wasn't for the townies to begin with. It is more like a "surprise" role. Also, what would be the point of switching back? And vote for the kill? Do you mean the wolf vote?

    But I'm starting to not like what you said about the Foresight. From what you said, the ability doesn't become double-edged anymore, and just an added bonus. I wanted to add more strategy into the game with the new wolf roles. By adding in a "risk" factor.

    IH, one thing I learned about the "risky roles" is that they aren't really used. The WH stopped killing when it became risky in my game, so... just an FYI

    Well, about the cursed townie, I think that'd be a bit unfair because what if he just happened to know a lot of important townie roles?

    I like IH idea about the risky thing,

    but as steal and DD said, the wolf of foresight might not use its skill since it is way more a disadvantage to the wolf, I think. (too much risk)

    and for the wolf of destruction,
    I think it is way more an advantage to the wolf, it is not even a risk, I mean the wolf wouldn't mind using it, if they have to skip every other day, once they know the BP townie and the guardian.

    For necromancer can revive two person is kind of too much.
    as for the shaman, I think it is more legit that he/she can communicate with the dead through the host and not directly..

    I like the cursed townie...if he/she happen to know some important role, which I highly doubt it will happen, then it is bad strategy/tactic played by the roled townies. Also I just want to know if the normal seer ping the wolf-cursed townie, will he/she revealed as wolf or cursed townie?
    also will the wolf know the cursed townie role from the beginning? I think they should.

    I don't think that the three day wait is bad at all for the wolf of foresight. They do it at the beginning of the game, they have a 66% chance of taking out two of the most powerful roles.

    The normal seer is the most powerful, then the insane seer, and then the shaman's assistant, because, since the shaman can't tell anyone what he knows, its pretty useless.

    Also, will the shaman's assistant's ping be like the seer's ping, showing identity, or does it mean that the sa can only share what they know once every three rounds, which seems like way too little to me?

    you have to also consider for the foresight wolf that he might not survive the days until his request is answered. six days is a long time when you think of all that goes on, and theres a good chance he'd never even get to use his abilities
